Chapter 1215 Suspected of Murder
Alexander was about to get up to stop him when the door was knocked on.
His secretary walked in and said, "Mr. Mitchell, there are two police officers here to see you."
Two police officers walked in. "Mr. Mitchell."
Alexander got up and walked forward, asking, "What's the matter?"
"Do you know Madison?"
Alexander said, "Yes, I do. What's going on?"
"She is suspected of being involved in a murder case. According to our investigation, she was with you some time ago, so we want to understand the situation."
"Murder case?" Alexander asked, "Who died?"
"Her ex-boyfriend Jerry Nelson. His body was found in the river, and he had been dead for about half a month. According to our investigation, the last person he saw was Madison, but Madison said she was with you half a month ago."
As soon as the police finished speaking, Alexander inexplicably turned to look at Ava.
Ava had nothing to say about Madison and Alexander's relationship. She wasn't jealous since she and Alexander were already divorced, and this matter seemed unrelated to her.
"I'll be leaving now. Goodbye."
Ava walked towards the door.
Alexander chased after her, "Wait a minute."
Ava turned her head. "Is there anything else?"
"About my grandmother's will, let's find a time to talk about it."
"I said I don't want those assets."
"Whether you want them or not, we should discuss it. After all, it's not a small matter. Even if you don't want them, you need to sign some agreements to relinquish them. We still need to meet."
Ava thought for a moment, then nodded, "Okay, I understand. Let's talk after you're done with your work."
Ava left.
After getting downstairs, George's voice came from behind Ava, "Ava, wait a minute."
Ava stopped and turned around. "What else?"
"Have you been in touch with Mia recently?"
Ava shook her head. "It's been a while since we last talked."
"I see. I wonder how she's doing lately."
Ava comforted him, "She probably wants some time alone to calm down. No matter what, she surely hopes you can live your life well."
George gave a bitter smile. "How could she be alone? She's with Brandon."
Regarding the matter between George and Mia, Ava didn't know what to say.
George said, "I won't bother you anymore. You should go home."
Ava responded, "I'll be going then. Goodbye."
Ava returned home, feeling exhausted.
Bishop had just put Sunny to sleep. He poured Ava a glass of water. "How did it go?"
"It's about the will," Ava said. "Scarlett had already made a will, dividing the assets into four parts, one of which is mine, but I didn't want it."
Bishop didn't ask why she didn't want it. He understood Ava; she wasn't greedy.
Seeing that Bishop didn't ask, Ava suddenly felt a sense of security.
Bishop understood her, so he didn't ask.
They had a good understanding of each other.
"By the way, Ava, I have something to tell you."
"What is it?" Ava asked.
"I've found out about that bracelet. A master craftsman makes it from Berlyn." Bishop got up and brought the bracelet over.
Ava asked in confusion, "How did you find out?"
Bishop said, "This bracelet doesn't have a brand, and the materials used are expensive. The gemstones on it are also valuable, so I guessed it must be a unique piece, the only one in the world. I contacted some art collectors and showed them the photo. These collectors are usually familiar with the works of master artisans. Someone recognized that a master should make this bracelet from Berlyn. I followed the lead and found this master. His works indeed have the same style, and he likes to engrave a unique symbol 'z' on his pieces."
Bishop turned the bracelet over, and there was indeed a letter 'z' inside the circle, but it was not noticeable unless you looked closely.
Bishop held up his phone, "Look, this is the master."
The phone screen showed his photo and introduction. He looked to be in his sixties.
"If he really made it, could he possibly know who my parents are?" Ava asked, her voice trembling.
Bishop said, "Let's go ask him and find out."
