Chapter 920 Protecting Her
Madison let out another scream.
Alexander was about to jump in when the bodyguard behind him jammed a gun to his head and growled, "Don't move!"
William aimed his piece right at Alexander's forehead. "Alexander, get on your knees!"
Out of nowhere, Alexander socked William, snatched his gun, and twisted him into a headlock, pressing the barrel to William's temple.
All the goons in black whipped out their guns, aiming at Alexander and Madison. "Let Mr. Bennett go!"
"Drop your guns!" Alexander barked, "Or Mr. Bennett gets it!"
William's face went pale; he never saw that coming.
"William!" Alexander hissed in his ear, "Get a grip. Tell them to drop their guns, or you're toast, and we all go down!"
William's fists clenched, teeth grinding as he spat out, "Drop your guns."
The henchmen hesitated, but with William in the hot seat, they had no choice but to lower their weapons.
"Alexander." Madison, shaking like a leaf, ran over and hid behind him.
"They've dropped their guns," William snapped. "Now let me go!"
"Let you go so you can off me? Not a chance," Alexander shot back. "Tell them to scram."
"Alexander, if I send them out, I'm a dead man. You think I'm that dumb?" William fumed.
"I won't kill you. Just get them out," Alexander insisted.
If he offed William here, he was toast too. And if Ava found out he killed William, she'd hate his guts forever.
For a split second, he thought about ending William. Even if Ava hated him, at least she'd still be in his life, even if it was through hate. But he couldn't go out like this.
Seeing William hesitate, Alexander lost his patience, "Tell them to get out. I'm counting to five, or I pull the trigger! We all go down!"
With that, he started counting, "Five, four, three, two—"
"Get out, all of you, get out!" William yelled, "Now!"
The goons had no choice but to back off.
Alexander turned to Madison, "Madison, shut the door and lock it."
"Got it." Madison quickly closed and locked the door. Now it was just the three of them.
Madison hurriedly gathered all the guns from the floor.
Then she stood aside, looking at Alexander with stars in her eyes.
'With all those guns pointed at him, he still flipped the script. He's incredible, no wonder I fell for him at first sight,' Madison thought.
"Madison, go to your room and lock the door. Don't come out unless I say so!" Alexander ordered.
"But will you be okay alone?" she hesitated.
She was worried sick about him and didn't want to leave.
"You can't help here. Go now." Alexander's tone was sharp.
Madison flinched but knew he was just trying to protect her. Her heart warmed, and she nodded, "Okay, I'm going."
She wiped her tears and dashed upstairs.
