Chapter 1195 Incompetent Rage
Madison still wanted to continue asking questions, but for a moment, she didn't know how to ask.
She couldn't directly ask if Madison and Emily really existed.
Because she felt guilty, Madison didn't dare to ask that way.
After the plot involving Madison and Emily appeared, the comment section suddenly flooded with many comments about the two of them.
Most of the comments were negative, and between the lines, it was clear that the things they did would definitely be found out.
Seeing these comments, Madison panicked, feeling as if many people suddenly knew what they had done.
Madison later joined in reading the updates, and every time there was a new chapter, she would read it.
In the latest chapters, there were more and more plots about her and Emily, with increasingly harmful details, and even a burial scene with lines that were almost identical.
Madison and Emily came to the conclusion that the book was likely written by Ava.
It must have been Ava writing the book all along, and coincidentally, Emily had been following her book.
Ava discovered that one of her readers was Emily in real life and wrote these things into the book.
One afternoon, Madison and Emily arranged to meet Ava.
Ava came alone, without Sunny, and they met at an afternoon tea restaurant, which was Ava's request.
With more people around, Madison and Emily couldn't pull any tricks.
Madison and Emily arrived early, and Ava was the last to arrive.
In front of Ava was a cup of coffee and some desserts.
But these were ordered by Madison, and Ava naturally wouldn't eat them, pushing them aside.
"What do you two want to see me for? Want to confess what you did?"
Right off the bat, Ava was straightforward and unceremonious.
Madison's face stiffened, "Look at how you're talking. We just wanted to see you because of what happened last time. We were afraid you were still misunderstanding and wanted to explain things clearly."
"That's right, that's right," Emily chimed in, "After we got back, Madison also talked to me. I felt bad for cursing at you in front of the tombstone, and I've been feeling guilty, so I wanted to apologize to you in person."
The real reason they wanted to see Ava couldn't be directly stated.
Ava's gaze fell on Emily, who forced a smile that didn't look like an apology at all.
They must have seen the content in the book and felt guilty.
"If an apology could solve everything, what would we need the police for? Do you think a simple apology can resolve what you two did?" Ava's words had a deeper meaning.
Madison's face stiffened, "Do you still suspect that we did that? It really wasn't us."
Ava silently looked at them, and after a few seconds, she spoke, "Whether it was you or not, we'll find out soon enough."
Ava smiled, "If you don't want people to know, don't do it."
Emily suddenly slammed the table, "Ava, what nonsense are you talking about? You're falsely accusing us and writing us into your book. Do you have any shame? I knew something was off with the content, and it turns out you're the author. I guessed right, you're an indecent woman, and only someone like you could write such a book!"
Seeing Emily's outburst, Ava knew they had fallen into the trap, so she said, "Are you okay? Do you know what you're saying?"
Madison tugged at Emily's sleeve, "Calm down."
"How can I calm down? She's slandering us and ruining our reputation." Emily took out her phone and pulled up the novel, "Ava, you're the author of this book. You have no evidence, yet you wrote us into the book to defame us!"
