Chapter 530 Chatting with Me
Ava said, "So, that's how it is. Vicky must be having a hard time now."
Brandon replied, "You don't need to worry about her. She needs to learn to manage the company's affairs, too. She can't rely on William for everything. It's good for them to share the responsibilities."
Ava agreed. "Yes, I believe Vicky can handle the problems."
"Ava, can you join me for dinner?"
"Join you?" Ava was a bit surprised.
Moreover, she had already had dinner and couldn't eat another meal.
"Yes," Brandon smiled and said, "I know you've already had dinner. What I mean is, can you chat with me while I have dinner? It's been a long time since I've had a good conversation with someone. A lot has happened recently, and I'm burdened with many regrets."
Hearing Brandon's invitation, Ava found it hard to refuse. But thinking of William, she reluctantly said, "William might still be waiting for me, so..."
"Don't worry," Brandon said, "When I saw William, he was in good spirits. He even told me that you've been taking care of him so much that he feels a bit guilty. He hopes you can spend more time on your things. If you keep staying with him, he'll also worry about your well-being. So, I think if you go back a bit later, he might actually be happier. Otherwise, he might feel guity about taking up all your time."
"Did he really say that to you?"
Brandon nodded. "Yes, I'm not lying. If you don't believe me, you can ask him. Although William really wants you by his side, he also doesn't want you to tire yourself out. If you take some time to relax and step away, he'll be happier."
Ava smiled faintly. Previously, when she left, William was very upset and threw a tantrum. She didn't expect that in such a short time, he had "grown up".
As time passed, he slowly recovered, and his sense of security increased.
"So, Ava? If you're really worried, you can accompany William. I won't force you."
Ava thought that she and William would eventually get divorced, and William would know the truth.
She wasn't sure when he would regain his memory, but at least when his brain recovered, she would have to tell him the truth. Otherwise, as her child in her belly grew bigger, and even if he still thought they were a couple, she wouldn't be able to be intimate with him.
He really couldn't rely on her too much.
Now was the time to slowly let him get used to being without her.
"So, what do you think? I can also tell you about William's childhood."
Ava nodded. "Okay."
A fleeting hint of joy flashed in Brandon's eyes.
He took Ava to a small private room in a restaurant. Ava had already had dinner and was very full, unable to eat anything more.
Brandon didn't force her and ordered a meal for one. While waiting for the food, Ava couldn't help but ask, "Uncle, I don't really understand why you suddenly want to chat with me."
She was not particularly acquainted with Brandon. If it were Dalton engaging in conversation with her, she would find it reasonablr. However, the prospect of Brandon wanting to converse with her left her increasingly perplexed.
Brandon poured a cup of coffee and gently pushed it to her. "Actually, I know we're not familiar with each other, and you must have doubts. I've always considered William as my own son. However, he probably never mentioned me to you."
