Chapter 687 Test Results
The door to the room was pushed open, and Ava was startled by the person kneeling on the floor.
It was Evelyn!
Evelyn was tied up and severely injured, but she was still alive. As soon as she saw Ava, she became extremely agitated. "Ava, please save me!"
The servant was terrified. "Ms. Anderson, there's a piece of paper on this woman."
The servant handed the paper to Ava.
It read: [A gift for you]
"Ms. Anderson, shall we call the police?"
"No need, you can go back to your work."
The police wouldn't help. That man came and went without a trace, brazenly bringing Evelyn here without anyone noticing.
Vicky quickly asked, "Ava, what on earth is going on?"
Ava said, "She is my aunt. I need to take her to the hospital."
She had to get to the bottom of this.
'Is what Evelyn said true? Am I really adopted by my parents?
'If that's the case, then who are my biological parents?'
"Alright, I'll drive you two there."
Vicky now had to stay by Ava's side at all times; otherwise, she wouldn't feel at ease.
Ava and Evelyn went to the hospital and did a DNA test.
The results would take seven days to come out.
Evelyn was seriously injured and could only stay in the hospital for the time being.
She stayed in a ward, and Ava had arranged for bodyguards to watch over her.
Vicky asked in confusion, "Ava, why are you doing a DNA test with her? What happened?"
"She said I'm not my parents' biological child. I didn't believe it, so I did a DNA test with her. If I'm really not my parents' biological child, then I have no blood relation with her."
Hearing this, Vicky was shocked. She knew about Ava's background, but had always kept it a secret. Now it seemed Ava was going to investigate her own background. Would she find out about the Bennett family?
Ava seemed to notice Vicky's uneasy expression and asked, "What's wrong with you?"
Vicky shook her head, saying, "I'm fine, just a bit surprised to hear this. If the test results show that you're really not your parents' biological child, what will you do? Do you want to find them?"
Ava said, "I don't know. If they're not my biological parents, then where are my real parents? I don't even know who they are, how am I supposed to find them?"
Ava turned her head, her gaze falling on Evelyn's ward. "She said she has seen my mother. Maybe the only clues I can find are from her."
Suddenly, Ava almost collapsed.
Vicky quickly supported Ava. "What's wrong?"
Ava clutched her waist, saying, "My waist hurts so much."
"Your waist hurts? Let me take you for a check-up."Vicky suggested.
Ava nodded. This concerned the safety of her child, so she naturally needed to see a doctor first.
After Vicky accompanied Ava for the check-up, the doctor looked at the report, frowning slightly.
Seeing the doctor's serious expression, Ava hurriedly asked, "Doctor, what's wrong? Is my baby okay?"
The doctor replied, "Your cervical length is only 0.984 inches, which is below the normal range. Your baby's heart rate is also unstable. We need to conduct further examinations."
Ava asked nervously, "What examinations do I need to undergo?"
The doctor explained, "We will start by measuring the cervical length and examining its morphology to assess its condition. If additional treatment is needed based on the results, we may also conduct an amniocentesis and fetal monitoring."
