Chapter 799 Excluded

Alexander thought, 'Mia stood up for Ava. I should be happy, but why do I feel so sad inside? I'm always left out.'

"Mom, I get it. I know her choice wasn't wrong, but it crushed me. Since she picked William, why should I care anymore? Misunderstandings don't matter now," Alexander said, covering his deep scar that still ached.

Every time he thought about it, the memories and pain came rushing back.

"Alexander," Mia said, feeling sad and guilty, holding his hand tightly. "I know you've suffered. If you don't want to contact Ava, then don't. There are plenty of good girls out there."

Mia couldn't hold back her tears. She knew how much Alexander had been through. He was her son, after all.

Ava chose William. Mia could have blamed or resented her, but she understood that both William and Alexander were her sons, and she got why Ava made that choice. It would have been painful no matter what.

If it were her, she wouldn't know how to choose either. Maybe Ava just said it without thinking because both men were important to her. And Alexander had hurt her before. Her choice made sense.

Alexander sighed, "You agree with me breaking up with her. What about you and Dad? When are you going to separate?"

Seeing Mia and George's distant relationship, he preferred they divorce.

"I'll handle things with your dad, Alexander. If you have any issues, talk to me. Don't keep it inside," Mia said.

"I won't." Alexander shook his head. "I don't want to talk to you anymore. You can't even handle your own stuff, and I feel like you don't care about me as much. Maybe I'm not that important to you."

"No, Alexander, you misunderstood," Mia denied.

"Another misunderstanding," Alexander interrupted. "Whatever I say, you always call it a misunderstanding. I'm not a fool. Mom, don't bother me anymore."

Alexander turned and left. Mia wanted to chase after him but couldn't find a reason.

After a few steps, he stopped again. "Mom, I don't know if you'll blame Ava, but I hope you don't because I don't. I know she made a tough choice, but it means we can never be together again."

"She's gone, hasn't she?" Alexander asked, turning slowly.

Mia couldn't hide it from him and nodded. "She went to Stellaria with William. He lost his memory, and there's a medical project there that can help him. It might take a long time."

Alexander stood frozen, speechless, his gaze cold as ice. The woman he loved was with another man on the other side of the world. She didn't even leave him a thought.

"Mom, when did your attitude towards William change?" Alexander asked.

He pondered, 'The woman I love chose William. And now, even Mia's attitude changed when she mentioned William. She didn't resent him for taking away her son's beloved. Was William really that good? So good that both the woman I loved and his mother stood by his side?'
