Chapter 1154 Utterly Foolish

Bishop whispered in Ava's ear, "I'll help you catch them."

Just as Bishop was about to move, Alexander immediately instructed the bodyguards, "Stop him."

A row of bodyguards instantly appeared in front of Bishop, blocking his way.

Ava didn't expect Alexander to go to such lengths for Madison, even ignoring Scarlett's death. He was truly crazy, utterly foolish, and so easily deceived by Madison.

Thinking about Bishop's injuries, Ava grabbed his arm and pushed him aside, "Forget it, don't chase them. Let them go. I will not let this matter rest."

She approached the tombstone, gently placing her hand on it, and cried, "Grandma, even if it costs me my life, I will find out what really happened. I won't let your death be in vain. Please bless me and don't let those evil people go unpunished."

Ava wiped her tears and turned to leave.

As she passed Alexander, she didn't even want to look at him.

She came to William and Eason and said, "William, Eason, thank you for believing in me. You should go home and rest."

"Ava, I will help you with this too. If someone really harmed your grandma, I will do everything I can to investigate," William said, his heart breaking as he saw her tears. He increasingly despised Alexander, that shameless scumbag.

"I'll stand by you too. Although I don't know how I can help, if you ever feel upset, you can reach out to me. I can be a good listener, your emotional trash can."

Ava nodded, trying hard to hold back her tears, "Thank you both. You should go back. I need to leave too. I need to calm down. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine."

Then, Ava took Sunny from George's arms.

"Ava, did you really hear those two women say such things?" George asked seriously.

Ava nodded, "I heard it. I didn't misunderstand. My comprehension isn't that poor."

George and Mia both looked at Alexander.

"Dad, Mom, we need to investigate this thoroughly. What if it has nothing to do with Madison? Wouldn't we be wronging her? I know Madison's character. She's kind-hearted, wouldn't even harm an ant. How could she..."

"Enough," Mia interrupted, "You say we need to investigate, but you're already defending her, thinking she didn't do it. Isn't that biased?"

"Mom, I'm just saying..."

"Don't explain," Mia continued, "Whether she did it or not, we need to investigate. Alexander, it's been so long, and you still haven't changed. You always hurt Ava. First for Isabella, now for Madison, and even some random Emily can insult Ava with such vile words. Reflect on yourself. Otherwise, your grandma won't rest in peace in heaven."

Alexander was speechless.

He didn't want to hurt Ava, but he couldn't, just because he cared about her, accuse Madison of Scarlett's death without evidence.

"Mom, stop talking. If he cares so much about Madison, let him keep protecting her," Ava said coldly, glaring at him. "Alexander, if it turns out Madison is involved, how will you face Grandma? You've really opened my eyes!"

With that, she turned and left with Sunny in her arms.
