Chapter 844 Don't You Have Any Decency?
After getting it on, Mia turned to her side, feeling all kinds of helpless, and wiped away the tears from her eyes.
Dalton snuggled up behind her, planting a kiss on her shoulder.
"Mia, wouldn't it be better if you just divorced properly and came back to me? That way, you wouldn't have to stress about the Mitchells and the Bennetts going at it. George can't stop you from remarrying."
Mia shut her eyes, feeling weak. "What do I have to do for you to let me go?"
Even if she got divorced, she wouldn't marry Dalton.
"I don't wanna let you go. You are mine. I really love you; otherwise, I wouldn't have raised our kid all these years," Dalton said.
"So, no matter what, you won't let me go? You're gonna cling to me for the rest of my life?" Mia's heart sank as she asked.
Dalton sighed, "Mia, why can't you forgive me? I love you just as much as George. Don't you wanna make it up to William? Don't you wanna tell him the truth?"
"Don't mention him."
Just hearing William's name made Mia feel overwhelmed.
Dalton had taken William away from her for so many years, and now he was using William to control her. Dalton was truly insidious.
As a mom, she couldn't just abandon William. After learning the truth, she wanted to reunite with William, but she didn't have the guts.
She didn't just have William; she also had Alexander.
Things had turned out this way, which she hadn't seen coming. If she could turn back time, she would've never wanted to meet a guy like Dalton, or George.
In the end, she was just unlucky in love.
She always met the wrong guys.
She shouldn't be overwhelmed by love.
And Dalton should've just stayed bad, but instead, he turned back, full of deep affection, trying to win her back. It was laughable.
Mia didn't sleep well that night, having nightmares in Dalton's arms.
The next morning, Dalton forced her to stay for breakfast before she could leave.
Her car hadn't even left the private road of the villa area when another car blocked her way.
Mia stopped her car and saw a young woman leaning against the outside of that car.
Mia opened her car door and got out, walking up to her.
She recognized the person in front of her as Dalton's daughter, Vicky.
Mia said, "Why'd you park your car here? I need to get through. Please move."
Vicky replied, "Ms. Thompson, you know who I am, right?"
Mia said, "You're Dalton's daughter, Vicky, right?"
Vicky responded, "That's right, so you know me."
All this time, Vicky had been investigating Dalton to find out which woman he was having an affair with.
She found out it was Mia.
Today, she finally got the chance to confront her.
When Vicky learned that Mia was Ava's former mother-in-law, George's wife, and the mother of Ava's ex-husband, Alexander, her whole worldview shattered.
Mia figured out why she had parked the car across the road—it was clear she was coming for her.
Mia asked, "Alright, what do you want from me?"
Mia could guess that Vicky had found out about her relationship with Dalton.
Vicky stepped forward, looking Mia up and down.
"I thought the woman my dad was keeping would be young, but I didn't expect it to be a middle-aged woman."
Mia stared at her coldly, saying nothing.
Vicky continued, "But you, this middle-aged woman, have kept yourself well. You're truly beautiful and charming, no wonder my dad fell for you. Don't you have any shame? You have a husband, your son is already grown, and your son's ex-wife is William's wife. Now you're seducing my dad, don't you have any decency?"
