Chapter 1123 Meaningless
As he spoke, he started to walk towards Ava.
Alexander grabbed her arm, "No need, you don't have to apologize. Going over there will only make her angrier."
"Then what should I do?"
"Please avoid her, don't provoke her anymore."
Madison was about to say she hadn't provoked him, but seeing the resolute look in Alexander's eyes, she swallowed her words and nodded, "I understand, I'll try to avoid Ava."
"There's one more important thing," Alexander's tone grew heavier.
Madison looked up, "What is it?"
"Stop calling her Ava in such an intimate way."
At first, when Madison called her Ava intimately, he thought it was unintentional.
But later, she kept calling her Ava intimately, and he didn't like it.
Grandma could call her that, parents could call her that, but he didn't want Madison to call her that.
Because Madison wasn't family; she was an outsider.
Madison stared at him, thinking she had misheard, "Alexander, do you know what you're saying?"
"I know, so I'll repeat it again: stop calling her Ava in such an intimate way. That's what I call her, not you."
Every finger of Madison's was trembling. She clenched her fists, her palms sweating.
"Alexander, how can you say that? It's just a name, why do you care so much about it?"
"I've been calling her that for over ten years. Madison, if you don't understand why I care so much about it, then we shouldn't see each other anymore."
"What?" Madison was stunned, "Alexander, I didn't."
"If you didn't, then stop calling her that. I'm not joking."
He was unusually serious.
Madison closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and forcibly suppressed her anger. Then she nodded, "Fine, I promise you, I won't call her that anymore."
It's just a name, she thought they were boyfriend and girlfriend, so if Alexander called Ava that, she could too.
But she didn't expect Alexander to forbid her from calling Ava that.
Clearly, Alexander cared too much about Ava.
What about herself? She was just a substitute.
Why?
She had given him everything, and he treated her like this.
And Ava had a child with another man, yet he still treated her like a treasure, holding her and another man's child as if it were his own. How could Alexander be so pathetic?
Madison didn't want to think of him that way, but she couldn't help it.
Why couldn't he forget such a dirty woman?
Seeing Madison's tears falling continuously, Alexander averted his gaze and said, "Go rest for a while. Dinner will be ready soon. Go play with Emily for a bit and stay out of our business."
After speaking, Alexander walked towards Ava.
Madison wanted to call him back, but seeing Alexander's departing figure, she finally closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and forcibly suppressed her anger before turning to leave.
Ava was walking ahead when a voice suddenly called out from behind, "Ava."
Ava pretended not to hear and walked faster, trying to escape.
But Alexander simply jogged and blocked her path.
"I'm sorry."
Ava frowned, "Why are you apologizing?"
"I'm apologizing on Madison's behalf."
"I don't need you to apologize for her. It doesn't matter. You two can do whatever you want; it has nothing to do with me."
