Chapter422 Everything's in Chaos
"Okay." Samantha reached out. "Give it to me."
The man placed a folded paper packet in Samantha's hand.
Ava widened her gaze in astonishment.
What was this?
Samantha unwrapped the white packet to reveal a fine, powdery substance.
Taking a concave metal strip from the PR man, Samantha scooped some powder, brought it to her nose, and inhaled deeply.
Then, with a look of comfort, she opened her mouth and tilted her head back, exclaiming, "Indeed, good stuff."
Ava's scalp tingled, and she turned to run.
She couldn't believe Samantha was openly using drugs.
"Ava, are you okay?" Vicky had just managed to free herself from a group of girls and quickly came to find Ava.
Ava was in a fluster. "I want to leave."
"Alright, let's go." Vicky knew Ava was a good girl and couldn't handle such a scene, so she immediately took her away.
After they left the private room, Ava was still in shock, her face turning red.
"Vicky, did you see that? She was..." Ava's trembling hand pulled out her phone. "I have to call the police."
"Ava," Vicky stopped her. "I understand how you feel, but if you call the police, you'll offend everyone in that private room, their families. They're all wealthy and influential, with complicated connections. Even if my brother wants to protect you, it will be difficult."
Vicky snatched her phone away. "The upper class is just a facade; it's actually very dirty; what you just saw is only the tip of the iceberg. And their parents must know what they are doing. Their parents must be more anxious to resolve such matters than you. But if you, an outsider, harm their children, they won't let you off. You're pregnant now, so be careful."
Vicky was shocked. She didn't know what to say, so she put the phone back in Ava's pocket.
"They will pay for what they do, so don't feel guilty, and don't forget our purpose today."
Ava looked at Vicky and suddenly realized that Vicky was different from what she had thought.
She had always thought Vicky was a playful girl, carefree and cheerful.
But Vicky knew the rules of this circle very well, and she was also very realistic.
Ava sighed.
Reality was always cruel.
The three colors of black, white, and gray coexisted, and no one could erase the other.
Vicky was right. She was pregnant now, and there couldn't be any accidents.
After all, it would be very dangerous if she got involved in such matters, and she didn't want to involve William.
But she couldn't pretend she hadn't seen anything.
Ava held Vicky's hand excitedly. "Your brother William can't marry Samantha, absolutely not! If Samantha were just playing around and likely to be unfaithful after marriage, it would not be a big deal. However, the key is that she's actually using drugs. If William really marries her, he's going to be in trouble."
Ava felt this was no longer within her purview. As William's friend, it was her responsibility.
She couldn't stand by and watch William be forced to marry a drug addict.
Vicky saw that Ava was scared, so she quickly patted her back. "Ava, let me tell you, this circle is very messy, and they often have parties on yachts, with a bunch of people having orgies."
