Chapter 732 Because I Love You
He took a deep breath, his eyes turning red with anger. He drifted into his thoughts.
'What's done is done. These are just old chat logs.'
'Back then, Ava and Alexander were still married, so it's normal to have these chats. No need to get mad.'
'Now Ava is my wife. From now on, these things will only happen between me and her.'
'Ava and Alexander will never have these chats again.'
But then his thoughts took a darker turn.
'But Ava, why do you still keep these chats after divorcing Alexander? Are you still hung up on him?'
'Do you look at them late at night, reminiscing?'
'Did he really make you that happy in bed?'
'From now on, I'll be the one making you happy in bed, Ava. I'll have all of you.'
'We'll have our own kids too.'
'Ava, you're my wife now,' William declared inwardly.
He looked up, praying silently.
'God bless Ava and her child.'
'Even though I hate Alexander, I promised Ava I'd be good to the child after she's born.'
'Alexander, your child will be mine.'
'Your ex-wife, your child, they're all mine!'
'And you, you'll just watch as I take everything that was once yours, suffering for a lifetime.'
'You'll regret letting her go. I will make sure she's cherished, and you'll see how much she means to me.'
'Why should you be forgiven just because you regret hurting Ava?'
'You've already messed up. It's done. There's no going back.'
'You left Ava for another woman, so you don't deserve her anymore.'
'Even if you're willing to die for Ava, so what? I can do that too.'
'I, William, am not a good person, I admit.'
'But I'll be good to Ava. I'll never leave her or hurt her for another woman.'
'Everything I do is for her.'
'Ava, I really love you!'
'If you ever see me change, it's because my love for you has transformed me.'
Time ticked by.
William waited anxiously.
A phone ringtone interrupted his thoughts.
It wasn't his ringtone. It was Ava's.
He took out Ava's phone and glanced at the caller ID.
[Mom]
It had to be Alexander's mother, Mia, because Ava's mother had already passed away.
Even though she and Alexander were divorced, she still called Mia "Mom."
Silly woman.
William shook his head helplessly.
He answered the phone.
Before he could speak, Mia immediately said, "Ava, did you go see Alexander yesterday?"
William stayed silent.
Mia pressed on, "Did you hear me? Why aren't you saying anything?"
"I'm not Ava, I'm William."
Hearing his voice, Mia immediately asked, "Why is it you? Why do you have her phone?"
"Ava can't take the call right now. If you have something to say, you can tell me," William said coldly.
"Will you tell her if I tell you?" Mia's tone was full of doubt.
William said, "You and Ava will definitely meet. I'm not that stupid. If you have something to tell her, tell me. If you don't trust me, then tell her yourself later. But I must remind you, Ava needs to rest after her surgery, so don't upset her."
"You mean Ava is having surgery right now?" Mia asked.
"Yes, she's in the operating room," William replied.
"Did she go see Alexander last night?" Mia asked.
