Chapter 1266 I'm Going to Find You
After Alexander left the hospital, he sat in the car, deep in thought. Then he took out his phone and called Ava.
"What's up?" Ava asked.
Alexander said, "Ava, I need to see you. I have something important to tell you."
"What important thing?"
"I saw Madison today."
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone. Then Ava said, "Really? After all, she's carrying your child. It's normal for you to check on her."
"No," Alexander said. "Madison had a miscarriage. It was reportedly caused by a fight with Emily in the cell."
Ava was silent for a while, then said, "I see. Why are you telling me this?"
Alexander said, "Madison said that everything she did was orchestrated by a mastermind who has been watching us for a long time. All of this was his plan."
Ava was stunned, "Madison said that?"
Alexander responded, "She told me a lot. Ava, let's talk in person and go over everything from the beginning. Maybe we can find some clues."
After hesitating for a few seconds, Ava said, "Okay, come over. I'm at home now."
"Alright, I'm driving over now. It's quite a distance, so it will take about an hour and a half. I'll drive as fast as I can."
"No problem," Ava said. "Drive slowly. Don't rush. It would be bad if something happened on the way. I'll be home all day, so just come over."
"Okay, I'll hang up now and start driving."
After hanging up, Alexander sent Ava a photo of a portrait drawn by Madison, along with a text message.
[This is what Madison's mastermind looks like. See if you've seen him before.]
After hanging up, Ava received a text message. She glanced at the content. The man in the drawing looked unfamiliar; she didn't seem to have seen him before.
She picked up Sunny, who was beside the sofa, and placed him on her lap.
"Sunny, if there really is a mastermind, who could it be?"
Ava thought through everything from beginning to end.
Could it be William?
Could it be that he acted out of love and hatred, so...
No, it shouldn't be William.
William almost died at that time, too. If the mastermind was the same person, how would you explain William being a victim as well?
The person who hurt William hadn't been caught yet, and neither had the person who kidnapped her. They could be the same person.
The doorbell rang.
Ava carried Sunny to the door and opened it.
Eason stood outside with a bag of fruit, smiling, "Ava, I came to see you and have lunch with you."
"Eason, why didn't you call me first? What if I wasn't home?"
"I finished my work today and came over eagerly. I didn't think much about it. Can I come in?"
"Of course," Ava stepped aside. "Come in."
Eason walked in and placed the fruit on the table.
"Eason, you don't need to bring anything next time. It's too much trouble."
"It's just some fruit. No trouble at all."
Ava smiled and then said, "By the way, Alexander will be here in about two hours."
"Really?" Eason asked unhappily, "Are you getting back together with him? It seems like you see each other a lot."
"No, he just has something to tell me."
"Really? What is it?" Eason asked.
Ava said, "I don't know either. We'll see when he gets here."
She didn't want to tell anyone about her conversations with Alexander. It wouldn't be good to talk about it, and she didn't want too many people to know.
"Ava, the person who killed Scarlett, has been caught. You must be relieved, right?"
Ava responded, "Yes, luckily, we got the video evidence at the crucial moment, proving Madison's guilt. Otherwise, she would still be at large."
"Ava, who gave you the video and audio evidence? Tell me secretly. I promise I won't tell anyone." Eason looked at her with feigned curiosity.
Ava's first reaction was that she had sworn to Isabella not to reveal this.
She was about to make an excuse, but suddenly thought of something.
She had only told Eason about the video evidence, but she had never mentioned the audio. How did Eason know about it?
