Chapter 670 Without Any Suspicion

Ava didn't care about what Evelyn said afterward; she only cared about what Evelyn said at the beginning—that she wasn't her parents' biological child.

"Stop!" Ava shouted at the man.

The man, who was about to take a step on Evelyn, pulled his foot back when he heard her voice.

After withdrawing his foot, he felt a bit annoyed. Their roles seemed a bit mixed up; he was the kidnapper, so why was he listening to the hostage? It was annoying. Besides, he couldn't even curse, as it would affect his image.

Moreover, he wouldn't argue with a woman.

He still had to listen to Ava.

Ava immediately asked, "Evelyn, you said I'm not my parents' biological child. Why should I believe you? You're just saying this out of spite, right? You don't have any evidence."

"What evidence do you want? You really aren't their biological child," Evelyn's voice trembled. "If you don't believe me, we can do a DNA test. If you are my brother's biological daughter, then we'll be related by blood. If not, the DNA test will prove it."

A thought suddenly struck Evelyn; perhaps this was her way to survive. If Ava wanted to do a DNA test with her, she could buy herself some more time.

"You got your wits back?"the man mocked. "Are you trying to stall for time?"

Evelyn was very afraid of the man. "Ava asked for evidence, and I'm just giving it to her."

He walked up to Ava. "So, do you want to do a DNA test with her?"

Ava fell into deep thought. She indeed want to do a DNA test to know the truth, but she seemed to already have some answers in her mind.

Her parents had single eyelids, but she had double eyelids.

Why would parents with single eyelids have a child with double eyelids?

She had asked her parents this question when she was a little girl.

But they told her that even if they had single eyelids, she could still have double eyelids, and they were still related by blood.

Ava believed them and even looked it up online, and it was indeed possible.

But just after she asked them this question, she saw her parents talking in their room that night. They seemed to be discussing something.

Her father, Dominic, said, "Don't let Ava know about this. She's still young. We'll tell her when she's older."

At the time, Ava didn't know what it was about, but since they didn't want to tell her then, it wouldn't do her any good to go in and ask.

Ava had always been sensible since she was little. She never got them into trouble. She figured since they said they'd tell her when she was older, she'd naturally find out when she grew up.

But unexpectedly, they passed away in an accident before she grew up.

She had never thought she wasn't their biological child. Even when she realized that she had double eyelids and they didn't, she never doubted it.

She was just curious. Even when she looked it up online, she just wanted to know the answer and never thought she might not be their biological child.

Even when she saw them talking secretly in their room, as if hiding something from her, she never thought that she might not be their biological child. For Ava, they were her parents.
