Chapter 1182 Blood Pressure Soaring

Later, the detective said a few more things.

After listening to everything, Ava suddenly understood.

"That's an interesting idea, but I don't know if it's feasible."

"Whether it's feasible or not, let's try it first. But first, we need to contact the author and see if they agree."

Ava thought for a moment and said, "How about this: you send me the name of the novel, and I'll take a look first."

During dinner, Ava hesitated while eating, as if she had something to say to Bishop but was too embarrassed to speak up.

Bishop noticed and asked, "What's wrong? Do you have something to tell me?"

Ava pondered for a moment and then said, "I do have something to say, but I'm too embarrassed to bring it up."

Bishop put down his chopsticks, his expression becoming serious, "It's okay, go ahead. If you want me to leave, I can..."

"I'm not asking you to leave," Ava quickly said, afraid of a misunderstanding. "I wanted to ask if you could keep Sunny in your room tonight and help take care of her?"

Bishop was taken aback, "What?"

"If you don't want to, that's fine. Let's just eat." Bishop had been helping her take care of Sunny and her for a while now, and she felt bad asking for more. She worried that Bishop might think she was taking advantage.

Bishop smiled gently, "What's the big deal? You can leave Sunny with me every day if you want. You need to rest well. Sunny wakes up easily at night and cries, which will disturb you. Leave her to me."

Ava's eyes lit up, "Thank you, but it's not because I'm worried about Sunny crying and disturbing me. I have something to do tonight, and with Sunny around, I might get distracted."

Bishop looked at her, puzzled, "Are you going out tonight?"

"Bishop, you might laugh at this, but I plan to read a novel."

Bishop was very puzzled, "Read a novel?"

But then he smiled, "No problem, go ahead. What's there to laugh at? It's perfectly normal. I read novels too when I have time."

"It's not that I want to read, but I have something to do, so..."

"What is it?"

"Nothing," Ava said. "I'll tell you after I finish reading. Please take care of Sunny for me tonight; I'll probably be up late."

"Alright, leave Sunny with me. Don't worry."

"Okay, thank you."

With Bishop around, Ava felt much more relaxed.

That night, Ava sat on her bed, quietly reading an e-book.

Bishop was next door, taking care of Sunny for her.

The book was quite long, and Ava read quickly, flipping through page after page.

Initially, she just wanted to know what the book was about, but the dramatic plot became more and more captivating, and she couldn't put it down. Some parts of the story even resembled her own experiences.

The author had some skill, turning a simple plot into something so engaging. It takes years of writing experience to create such an immersive story that can make one's blood pressure rise.

Unknowingly, Ava read until midnight and even saw comments left by Emily.

Emily had used her own name as her username, making it easy to identify.

Sure enough, Emily's comments were full of vitriol, very nasty, and a few other readers joined her in insulting the author.

These readers were initially normal, just commenting on the plot. But after being influenced by Emily, their comments became increasingly abnormal and vulgar, eventually becoming just like Emily's.
