Chapter 332 Fearless

William anxiously looked at Ava. But just a few seconds later, he coldly said, "We're not really good friends, just ordinary friends. We haven't met many times. Victoria is usually closer to her."

Victoria didn't expect William to say this, but she knew he said it to protect Ava.

Hearing William's words, Ava felt puzzled. But she could vaguely sense that William wasn't pretending to be unfamiliar with her on purpose. He was protecting her because Dalton seemed extraordinary.

"I see," Dalton said, although his tone sounded somewhat mocking. His sharp gaze once again fell on Ava. "Ms. Anderson, my son says you're just ordinary friends. Is that true?"

"Yes," Victoria quickly replied. "She is just an ordinary friend of mine and William's, but she's closer to me."

Victoria held Ava's arm. "I just brought her here to play today. I didn't expect something to happen at home. So I'll take Ava and leave."

She knew that William must be anxious right now, so the only thing she could do was to take Ava away with her.

William secretly signaled to Victoria, urging her to take Ava away quickly. Victoria hurriedly held Ava's hand, just about to lead her away, when Ava broke free and approached with a notebook in her arms.

"Uncle Dalton, I came here today for William. Whether he and I are just ordinary friends or not, I am here to solve the problem," Ava said boldly.

Dalton stared at her coldly. "Solve the problem?"

"Yes," Ava took a step forward. "I'll just be direct with you. I know why you are punishing William. It's because Wisdom Future Group took over Blue Sky Group's project, and you think William is incapable."

Ava faced Dalton without any fear because bravery was inherent in her character.

"What are you talking about?" William's voice was fierce. "What does it have to do with you? Get out of here and stop bothering us."

Ava turned to look at William. Not only was his voice aggressive, but his expression was also hostile. It was completely different from his usual self. This time, he finally lost his temper with her.

However, Ava didn't feel threatened by William's aggression because she knew he deliberately wanted to drive her away and didn't want her involved.

But as a friend, Ava couldn't leave like this. She couldn't just watch William get hurt.

It was similar to when Jaqueline hit Alexander if someone as elderly as Jaqueline could leave such an impact on Alexander, not to mention Dalton, who seemed ten times more ruthless than Jaqueline.

If she were to leave today, William would probably end up in the emergency room.

"Uncle Dalton," Ava ignored William and stared at Dalton, saying, "I will only take two minutes of your time. Could you please let me finish speaking?"

William was very worried. He was just about to stand up from the ground when Dalton's stick pressed directly onto his shoulder. "Did I ask you to stand up?"

Ava's heart was racing fast. She was also worried about William.

She never expected that Dalton would still be so authoritarian in this day and age.

She couldn't imagine how William had grown up under such pressure.

She really didn't know how they had grown up as siblings.
