Chapter 651 Heart-Wrenching
Everyone was looking for Ava.
In the Bennett family, Brandon and William tried hard to rescue Ava, but the car delivering the check was misled by the kidnappers to many places that were not the real destination.
These cunning kidnappers were particularly adept at counter-surveillance. They were afraid that the police would get involved, so they deliberately gave false addresses to make it difficult to find out the real one.
Brandon and William were furious, yet they had no choice but to follow their orders.
Alexander had also mobilized all resources to find Ava, analyzing all surveillance footage, searching every possible hiding place, and continually expanding the search area.
After receiving the list of kidnappers from Evelyn, he found out their identities, arrested everyone connected to them, and interrogated them one by one.
"Mr. Mitchell, we have a problem!" Felix ran over and handed him a tablet. "Take a look at this!"
Alexander checked out the news on the tablet; Ava's kidnapping had now become the top trending topic, known nationwide, and the police had already been dispatched.
Alexander roared, "Who called the police?"
Everyone present lowered their heads, not daring to respond.
Alexander angrily slammed the tablet onto the ground. "Take down all the news, quickly!"
"Yes." Felix immediately went to handle it.
Despair gradually filled Alexander's eyes.
"Ava..."
The kidnappers must have already known the news. Once they were pushed to their limits, they definitely wouldn't spare Ava.
Alexander didn't want to hold any illusions; he knew what a woman would face in the hands of those vicious criminals.
He thought, 'Damn it, if I find out who called the police, I would never let them off the hook!'
"Mr. Mitchell, we have questioned the people associated with the kidnappers and analyzed all the surveillance and possible routes, and identified potential locations where Ms. Anderson may be held."
Alexander immediately said, "Surround these places, quick."
"Damn it, they actually called the police! Bold move, acting like my words mean nothing to them!" Leonard roared angrily.
The door opened, and several men walked towards Ava. They pulled her roughly from the ground and threw her down hard.
One of them kicked her shoulder, causing a piercing cry of pain from Ava.
"Did you know? Your family called the police, and it even trended online. Now the whole country knows you've been kidnapped!"
Despite the pain, Ava struggled to her feet from the ground, kneeling. "They wouldn't call the police; it couldn't have been them."
"Who else could it be?" Leonard roared, "Damn it!"
"Then you should run away quickly, there's still time to escape now!"
Ava was already in a desperate struggle, knowing that these people surely wouldn't spare her once they got desperate.
Leonard grabbed her face and lifted her head. "Before we run, I have to kill you and let your family watch it helplessly, damn it!"
Leonard took out his phone and dialed a number.
Soon, Brandon answered, clearly very annoyed by the kidnappers' antics. "All the addresses you gave are fake. Do you still want the five billion or not?"
"Screw you! You're playing me. Luckily, I gave you fake addresses!" the kidnapper said angrily. "You actually dared to call the police, damn it, and even made it trend online!"
"What? We didn't call the police!"
"Your word isn't law. I warned you not to call the police, but you did anyway. Don't blame me; I'm going to kill her and torture this bitch before I do!"
"No!" William blurted out, "Don't hurt her. I'll give you any amount of money. We'll find a way to prevent the police from looking for you. Just spare Ava!"
"I fell for it once; that's enough." The man sneered, "I ain't falling for it twice. I'm going to make you watch how we torture this woman!"
He handed the phone to an underling, who then aimed the camera at Ava.
In the video, Ava looked disheveled and miserable.
William's heart-wrenching voice came through the phone.
Leonard spat on the ground and said angrily, "I hate being deceived, damn it!"
"No, no!" Ava tried to get up and escape, only to be firmly pinned down by several men.
Her hands and feet were held down, and she cried out in despair, struggling desperately. "I'm pregnant! I'm a pregnant woman! Please spare me!"
"You're pregnant, huh? Hahaha!" Leonard forcefully patted her slightly swollen belly. "So what if you're pregnant? Even a monkey can be pregnant. Two lives lost in one body, I lose nothing. Hold her down!"
"Don't touch me, ahhh!"
Ava's heartbreaking cries were drowned out by the men's cruel and triumphant laughter.
