Chapter 983 Pestering
An hour later, Ava was pacing back and forth at the ICU entrance.
She was silently praying, "God, please make Bishop wake up soon. He can't die. I beg you. He shouldn't die. You already took his sister in such a cruel way, so you can't take him too. Those who hurt his sister deserved their fate. You let such people exist in this world to do evil and harm others. Even if they die, they deserve it. God, please open your eyes. There are so many wicked people in this world harming others, yet they live well, while so many good people are suffering. Please don't let Bishop suffer anymore, okay? Let him continue his life well."
"Ms. Anderson," a voice suddenly called out.
Ava turned her head and saw Madison walking towards her. But Madison was alone; Alexander wasn't with her.
Ava frowned in confusion as Madison approached her.
With a confident smile, Madison stood in front of Ava.
Ava looked at the face that resembled hers and wondered what was going on with Alexander, finding a woman who looked somewhat like her.
Ava asked, "Ms. Allen, weren't you with Alexander? Where is he?"
Madison replied, "Alexander went to take a call, seems like something important. I waited for a while but he didn't come back, so I wandered around and ended up here, and saw you."
Ava said indifferently, "Is that so? What a coincidence."
She felt that Madison came here on purpose.
Madison took a step closer to her, while Ava stepped back.
Ava said, "Ms. Allen, do you need something? If you wandered here by accident, you should go back quickly, or Alexander might get worried when he finishes his call and can't find you."
Madison retorted, "It's okay. It seems like a company matter that will take him a while. Since we ran into each other, why not take a few minutes to talk?"
Ava was unimpressed. "I don't think we have anything to talk about. I'm not familiar with you."
"Regardless, we both had the same man once," Madison said smugly, "That's a kind of bond."
Hearing "bond," Ava suddenly felt like throwing up, thinking, "What bond? Is she in her right mind?"
Ava slightly curled her lips and said, "Sorry, I don't think we have any bond. Alexander and I divorced amicably."
Madison asked, "Was it really amicable, Ms. Anderson? If it was, why do you keep pestering him?"
Ava frowned. "What are you talking about?"
Ava thought, 'Pestering him? Does Madison even know what she's saying? When did I ever pester Alexander? It's clearly Alexander who is being persistent, even coming to Stellaria!'
Madison snorted coldly and smiled. "Ms. Anderson, judging by your expression, you seem innocent. Aren't you the one pestering him? Last time, in the middle of the night, you came crying to him, then left abruptly, and disappeared, making everyone go crazy looking for you. Isn't that pestering?"
