Chapter 1106 The Cousin Arrives
Madison came to accompany Scarlett again.
Scarlett only recognized her now and kept calling her Ava.
Madison seemed to have fully accepted this identity, as if she were Ava, and she responded earnestly every time.
Alexander originally wanted to talk to Madison about breaking up with her. However, if he broke up with Madison, it wouldn't be appropriate to have her come over to accompany Scarlett anymore.
But he couldn't keep dragging it out because of this, so he planned to tell her today.
Madison was accompanying Scarlett while Alexander sat on the sofa reading a magazine.
After a while, Madison came running over.
"Alexander," she said excitedly, holding her phone.
"What's up?" Alexander asked.
"Do you remember I told you about my cousin Emily?"
Alexander nodded, "You mentioned you have a cousin."
Madison nodded slightly, "When I was in Stellaria, I told her that when I got back, she could come visit me. She's already here and about to land. I need to pick her up. Can you come with me?"
Alexander tugged at the corner of his mouth, "I'll have the driver take you."
Madison's smile immediately faded, and she looked a bit disappointed.
"But she really admires you. I promised her she could meet you."
Alexander's gaze deepened. Seeing Madison's disappointed look, he couldn't bear it. He put the magazine aside and said, "Alright, I'll go with you to pick her up."
Madison's face instantly lit up with a bright smile, "Thank you."
Madison excitedly threw herself into his arms and hugged him tightly.
"What's making you so happy? Aren't you embarrassed?"
"Grandma," Madison walked over and took her arm, "My cousin is coming, and Alexander and I are going to pick her up."
"You have a cousin? How come I've never heard of her?"
"Emily has always been out of town, and we haven't had many chances to meet, so you haven't heard of her."
"Oh, I see," Scarlett didn't think much of it, "Then bring Emily over so I can see her."
"Really, Grandma?" Madison hadn't planned to bring Emily here, to find her a hotel nearby.
"Of course, your cousin must be very cute too. Bring her over so I can see."
"Okay, Grandma, then Alexander and I will bring her back."
After that, Alexander drove Madison to the airport.
The two of them waited at the exit in the airport hall. Before long, a woman about Madison's age came out pushing a suitcase.
"Emily, I'm here," Madison raised her hand and waved vigorously.
Emily ran over with her suitcase, "Madison."
The two hugged each other excitedly.
Immediately, Emily's gaze fell on Alexander, her eyes widening as if they were sparkling.
"Alexander, this is my cousin, Emily," Madison introduced.
Alexander glanced at her briefly and finally responded politely, "Hello, Emily."
Emily in front of him was plain-looking, with squinted eyes, a large nose, and an oddly shaped face that seemed uncoordinated. Her face was heavily powdered, her makeup was smudged, and her mascara was smeared all over her eyes.
Her makeup was worse than no makeup at all.
