Chapter 682 Listen to My Explanation

"Alexander! Where are you?" Ava stood in a pitch-black place , unable to see her hand in front of her face. She ran desperately forward, but there was never an end in sight.

"Alexander, where are you?"

Suddenly, a bright light appeared in front of her, and Alexander stood before her.

Upon seeing Alexander, Ava's anxious face immediately lit up. "Alexander!"

She ran towards him as fast as she could, but she found the faster she ran, the further Alexander moved away from her. She couldn't get close to him.

"Alexander, what's wrong? Please don't move, okay? Let me come over, please!"

Ava continued to run towards him, but Alexander suddenly disappeared, and darkness returned to her sight.

"Alexander, where are you? Alexander, please say something! Alexander!"

"Ava."

Suddenly, a voice came from behind her. Ava turned around and saw Alexander standing not far behind her.

"Alexander."

Just as she was about to run towards him, Alexander shouted, "Don't come any closer!"

Ava immediately stopped in her tracks, standing there, frightened and anxious.

"Alexander, I really want to see you. How are you? Are you okay?"

Alexander suddenly laughed, but his smile was different from usual. It was extremely sarcastic. "Do you care about me?"

"No, Alexander, let me explain!"

"What do you want to explain? Why did you choose William?"

"No, I didn't abandon you!"

Ava cried. "I had no choice, I swear. If I could, I would rather be the one hurt. I beg you!"

"What are you begging me for?" Alexander questioned.

"I beg you..." Ava suddenly didn't know what to beg for. Her mind went blank, and she couldn't say anything. Her tongue seemed to be tied in knots.

Alexander snorted coldly. "You don't even know what you're begging for, yet you still beg me. It's ridiculous. Ava, I'm very disappointed in you!"

"No, Alexander!" Ava ran towards him in agitation, but as soon as she started running, Alexander disappeared again.

"Alexander!" She turned around and found Alexander behind her.

She wanted to run to him but was afraid he would disappear again, so she held herself back. "Alexander, I'm really sorry. It's my fault. He told me that one of you would get hurt. I really had no choice at the time. If I didn't choose, both of you would die. He would have killed you both. I'm sorry!"

"So you chose William and let me get hurt! Ava, do you hate me that much? Do you wish I were dead? Our ten years of friendship can't compare to the few short  months you've been with William?"

"No!" Ava cried her heart out. "Alexander, I never wanted you to die. I really know I was wrong!"

"It's too late!" Alexander said, his voice filled with pain and sorrow, "Ava, it's too late. From the moment you chose William, you lost the right to say sorry to me! Because I'm already dead, killed by you. My love for you, it's dead too!"

"Alexander, you can't be dead!"

"I'm dead, look."

Suddenly, blood started seeping from Alexander's chest, soaking his white shirt. The bright red blood kept dripping down, stinging Ava's eyes.

"No, Alexander, don't!"

Ava frantically lunged forward.

"No, please, Alexander, you can't die!"

"Ava, wake up!"

Vicky shook Ava's shoulders vigorously.

Ava suddenly opened her eyes.
