Chapter 1240 Get to Know

Ava was washing vegetables when the doorbell rang.

Eason, holding Sunny, walked to the door and saw through the peephole that there was an elderly woman standing outside, around sixty or seventy years old.

This elderly woman looked very imposing.

Ava walked out of the kitchen. "Who is it?"

Eason said, "I don't know her either, it's an elderly woman. Should I open the door?"

Ava walked up curiously, looked through the peephole, and was startled by the woman outside.

Why is it her? Isn't that Mandy?

Is she here to cause trouble for Bishop?

Mandy raised her hand and knocked on the door, "I heard your voice, open the door."

"Who is she?" Eason asked.

Ava said, "She is William's grandmother. Let me handle this."

Ava didn't open the door but asked, "Ms. Powell, what brings you here? If you're here to cause trouble, then forget it, let's not waste each other's time."

"I'm not here to cause trouble, I have other matters to discuss with you."

"What matters? If it's about last time..."

"It's not about last time." Mandy interrupted her, "If I wanted to make a fuss about the incident in the private room, I would have done it long ago. I wouldn't wait so many days to come to you. That matter is over. I'm here for something else. I'm alone now, I didn't bring anyone else, you can rest assured."

Is she alone?

Ava couldn't see more through the peephole.

After thinking it over, she decided to open the door, and sure enough, Mandy was alone outside.

"What do you want?"

Mandy saw the man in Ava's house, "Who is he? He looks quite handsome."

Mandy walked in unceremoniously.

"He's my friend," Ava said, "It has nothing to do with you. What do you want?"

"I have something to discuss with you, just the two of us."

Mandy glanced at Eason, "It's inconvenient with outsiders around."

Ava smiled helplessly, "Sorry, but you're the outsider here."

Hearing Ava say this, Eason was overjoyed, smiling smugly.

Mandy didn't get angry, she just said, "What I need to discuss is only suitable for the two of us to hear. If you insist on having him here, that's fine, but knowing too much won't be good for him."

Mandy's cold gaze fell on Eason.

Ava knew Mandy was not to be trifled with and didn't want to get Eason involved. After thinking it over, she said to Eason, "Eason, why don't you take Sunny out for a walk?"

"Will you be okay alone?" Eason asked worriedly.

"I'll be fine, don't worry. I'll call you later."

"Alright then, I'll take Sunny out for a bit and come back later."

After Eason took Sunny out, only Ava and Mandy were left in the living room.

"Ms. Powell, please get to the point and don't waste any more time."

Mandy took a small metal object out of her bag, "Is this yours?"

Ava took it, it seemed to be something from her bag.

It must have fallen in the private room last time.

"This thing isn't valuable, you didn't have to trouble yourself to bring it to me."

She felt that Mandy's visit today was very strange. If Mandy wasn't here to cause trouble, then what was it for?

"Don't look at me like that, I'm not going to eat you." Mandy sat down directly, "After all, you were married to my grandson, can't I get to know you a bit?"
