Chapter 1080 Kidnapped
On the other end of the phone, Alexander was silent for a few seconds. He seemed to want to say something but didn't.
Ava sensed something too and immediately said, "Alexander, it's more important for you to find your mom first. If you have somthing else, we can talk about it after you find her."
What was going on between her and Alexander was no longer important.
"Okay, I'll go look for her now. You get some rest."
Ava responded and hung up the phone.
Being able to help Alexander made Ava feel relieved, and she was genuinely grateful to Bishop.
She wanted to call and thank him, but considering it was late, she just sent him a text: [Thank you. I already told Alexander. Your information is very useful.]
Bishop quickly replied: [You're welcome.]
Ava responded: [Good night.]
Bishop: [Okay, you too.]
Ava lay on the bed, gently holding the child, staring blankly at him, and said, "Sunny, Mia will be okay."
A bucket of cold water was poured directly over her, and Mia jolted awake.
She gasped for air, looking around in panic. She was in a cold warehouse made of metal, surrounded by a lot of clutter. The environment was dim, with only a flickering yellow light in front of her.
She tried hard to recall what had happened. She remembered driving Mandy home, then parking in a deserted place. Mandy suddenly wanted to get out, so Mia stopped the car.
Mia didn't know what she was doing, so she followed Mandy to get out, wanting Mandy to get back in the car so she could drop her off quickly.
Suddenly, a stick had stricken the back of her head.
Mia had fallen to the ground and passed out.
When she opened her eyes again, she was here. The back of her head still throbbed with intense pain. Mia struggled to keep her eyes open.
Suddenly, the iron door opened, and a lady slowly walked in, her high heels clicking.
A few more lights in the warehouse turned on, allowing Mia to see the person in front of her.
Mandy looked down at her and coldly said, "Ms. Thompson, how was your sleep?"
Mia gasped for air, water streaming down her face. She swallowed, her mouth dry, lips almost cracking, and hoarsely said, "Why are you doing this? What do you want?"
Mandy was wealthy, with real assets in the bank. She definitely wasn't doing this for money.
"Ms. Thompson, you don't know who I am, do you?"
Mia said, "You're Mandy. What do you want?"
"No, you don't know who I am," Mandy said with a cold smile. "If you did, you wouldn't have gone out to dinner with me."
Mia stared at her with wide eyes, not saying anything more.
It was clear Mandy would tell her something.
At this moment, a chair was brought over and placed behind Mandy. She slowly sat down.
Then, Mandy crossed her legs and leaned back lazily in the chair, saying, "It's because of you that my daughter's marriage was unhappy. She wasted so many years of her youth, and now she cries every day after the divorce."
