Chapter 1221 Hit the Car
The driver got out to negotiate, and a man also stepped out of the other car. Mandy looked at him and thought he seemed familiar.
Not long after, Mandy saw a woman holding a child and getting out of the other car.
Mandy frowned slightly.
She remembered that before she kidnapped Mia, Mia had met a man and a woman in the restaurant. It was them.
Mandy immediately opened the car door and got out, walking up to them. "What do you two want?"
Ava was a bit surprised to see Mandy get out of the car. "It's you?"
She was the one who had dinner with Mia that day. Mia said she was a bank client, but then Mia disappeared.
"Ma'am, please get back in the car and wait," the driver quickly said. "I'll handle this, and we'll be on our way soon."
Mandy stared coldly at Ava and Bishop. "You hit my car on purpose. What's your motive?"
After all, she had kidnapped Mia before, and Ava had seen them together in the restaurant. Mandy wondered if the car crash was intentional.
Bishop stepped forward and pulled Ava behind him. "Our car was going straight, and you were turning. You should have yielded, but you crashed into us. It's entirely your fault. I should be asking what you want."
Bishop exuded a cold, intimidating aura. Mandy, who had met many people, could tell he was not to be messed with.
At this moment, Mandy's bodyguards also stepped forward, standing in front of them, each protecting their own.
The atmosphere became tense.
Just then, Hailey got out of the car. "Mom."
Ava was a bit surprised to see Hailey. Wasn't she William's mother?
So this somewhat fierce-looking woman was Hailey's mother, which made her William's grandmother?
Last time in the restaurant, she had seen Mia having dinner with her.
Ava suddenly felt that these relationships were very complicated.
Hailey knew Ava, having met her before, but she didn't say much. She took Mandy's arm. "Mom, let's go."
Mandy's face was cold. "I'll let you off today."
She told the driver, "Let's go, don't worry about it."
Then she pulled Hailey into the car.
Ava gently tugged on Bishop's sleeve. "Let's go too, it's not a big deal."
Both sides were wealthy and didn't want the hassle, so they acted as if nothing had happened and got back into their cars.
After getting in the car, Bishop said coldly, "That driver has no eyes. If it weren't for you and Sunny, I'd drag him somewhere and beat him up."
Seeing Bishop's childish behavior, Ava couldn't help but laugh. "It's okay, it's not a big deal. Let's go."
After the car drove away, Mandy said, "I saw that woman and man before. The night I kidnapped Mia, they were in the restaurant too, talking to Mia. And today we just happened to crash. They might have some motive. I need to have someone investigate them."
Mandy picked up her phone.
Hailey immediately pressed Mandy's hand down. "Mom, you're overthinking. Do you know who that woman is?"
Mandy asked, "Who is she? Do you know her?"
"Mom, there's something you don't know. William was secretly married before, but then he got divorced. That woman is his ex-wife. She was also Alexander's ex-wife. After divorcing Alexander, she married William."
Hailey spoke as if it had nothing to do with her, as if the William she mentioned wasn't her son.
She had just seen her former daughter-in-law but acted like she didn't know her.
