Chapter 929 Bright and Clear
His yelling might scare Sunny and he just cried harder.
He opened his little mouth and started wailing.
"Come on, Sunny, stop crying. I'm holding you, aren't I? You always liked it when I held you, right?" he said softly.
"When your mom holds you, you cry, but not with me. Look, I've been taking care of you all this time. Haven't I been good to you? Why are you still crying?" he went on.
"Are you thinking about Alexander too?" William's eyes suddenly turned dark.
"Tell me, are you? Are you thinking about him? Because he's your real dad!" William started to lose it.
"Sunny, listen up, I am your father now. I've been here for you and your mom, treating you both like gold. But Alexander? He doesn't even know you exist! He's out there having fun with other women!" William spat out angrily.
"Sunny, I am your father. When you grow up, you'll only recognize me, right? You can't acknowledge Alexander. He can't be your dad. Only I can be, only me!" he shouted, almost losing his mind.
"Sunny, open your eyes and see clearly, I am your father! Please stop crying, Sunny, stop crying," William kept repeating.
But no matter how much William tried to calm him down, Sunny kept crying.
"I told you to stop crying!" William yelled frantically.
"If you keep crying, I'll bury you alive!" William glared at him with fierce eyes.
Sunny, maybe scared by him, opened his eyes and suddenly stopped crying, but his eyes lost their sparkle and he just stayed still.
"Sunny, what's wrong?" William gently touched his little face.
"Did I scare you? I'm sorry," William kissed his little face, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it. I was just too angry. Please don't make me angry again, okay?"
William held Sunny and kept trying to calm him down. Sunny stopped crying and fussing, but William was really anxious.
Did he scare Sunny too much? What if Ava came back and blamed him?
"I'm sorry, Sunny. Please cry, okay? You can cry, I won't scold you or shout at you anymore. Please cry, I'm begging you," William said nervously.
Sunny still stared at him with wide eyes.
William was completely panicked. He immediately carried the child back to the villa and grabbed a toy, waving it in front of him.
"Sunny, look, this is a little toy. Isn't it fun?" William kept shaking the toy and making sounds.
William sat on the bed holding Sunny, continuously showing him the toy.
Suddenly, a sound came from Sunny's mouth.
William was stunned. He thought he was hearing things. After a while, he asked, "Sunny, are you, are you laughing?"
As if in response to William, Sunny laughed again.
A three-month-old baby, like a newly blooming flower bud, pure and adorable.
When he showed that innocent smile, it was as if countless bright stars lit up the world.
His finely chiseled, rosy face radiated the softness and purity unique to infants, with cheeks like delicate spring peach petals, slightly tinged with pink.
A pair of pure, unblemished eyes sparkled with warmth, like the morning light reflecting on a lake, bright and clear.
