Chapter 1267 Discovering Something Wrong
The video and recording were played at Alexander's wedding.
But Eason wasn't there.
Then the video and recording were handed over to the police, and he didn't leak it to anyone else. How did Eason know there was a recording?
Seeing Ava silent, Eason raised his hand and waved it in front of Ava's eyes.
"Ava, what's wrong? What are you spacing out for?" Ava tugged at the corner of her mouth, "Nothing. By the way, Eason, what have you been busy with lately?"
"Actually, not much, just the usual stuff, spending a lot of time with my godfather."
Ava knew that Eason's godfather was George. She found out about this when Scarlett passed away. Eason went to the scene, and only then did she know he had recognized George as his godfather.
Later, she met Eason again and asked him how he met George, and Eason told her.
Thinking back now, Ava wondered why it was such a coincidence.
Some things, when you thought about them carefully, seemed to have happened after she met Eason.
Ava suddenly felt a chill down her spine.
"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?" Eason raised his finger and gently touched her forehead.
Ava took a step back, "I'm fine."
She turned around and carried Sunny back to the room, then closed the door and said, "Eason, Alexander will come over later, do you mind?"
"Do you mind? Do you need me to leave?"
Ava said, "That's not what I meant. If you don't mind, you can stay because when Alexander comes over, he might stay for dinner. I'm worried you two will argue."
"I won't, I won't argue with him in front of you, and I'm worried he'll come here and bully you again. I need to stay and protect you."
Ava forced a smile, "Thank you, Eason. By the way, I need to go out and buy some groceries. You wait at home."
Ava went back to the room to carry Sunny.
Eason said, "I'll go with you."
He followed her in.
Ava said, "No need, you're a guest. Just stay at home. I'll be back soon after buying the groceries."
"How can that be? I'll go with you. How can I be at ease with you carrying Sunny alone? You said someone was following you before. What if something happens to you? I must go with you."
Seeing Eason's determined attitude, Ava knew she couldn't go out alone with Sunny. After thinking for a moment, she said, "Oh, my memory is so bad. There's still a lot of food in the fridge. I need to check."
Ava carried Sunny out of the room, walked to the kitchen, and opened the fridge. There were indeed many ingredients inside.
"Then I'll wash these ingredients now and prepare the side dishes."
Eason stepped forward and said, "Let me hold Sunny."
Ava held Sunny tightly, suddenly feeling a bit nervous, "No need, Eason. I see Sunny is a bit sleepy. I'll take him back to the room to put him to sleep, and then I'll come back."
Ava tried to restrain her emotions as much as she could, hugging Sunny in her usual state and heading for her room.
Eason's gaze followed her back, a mysterious smile playing on his lips.
After reaching the door, Ava said, "I'll close the door to avoid disturbing Sunny. Once he's asleep, I'll come out."
After closing the door, Ava secretly pressed the button on the door handle to lock it. Then she took out her phone and looked at the picture Alexander had sent her.
The person in the picture looked completely different from Eason, but the eyes were very similar.
