Chapter 1066 Medical Records

"What did you say?"

"Now that she's completed her heart transplant surgery and has recovered, I can break up with her without affecting her life. I'll also give her some money."

"And then?" Ava pressed. "Even if you break up with Madison, there's no chance for us. You shouldn't..."

"Ava," Alexander interrupted her. "I haven't thought that far. I'm having surgery in a couple of days. Can you have this meal with me?"

Ava held Sunny and pondered for a moment, then nodded.

Alexander was very happy and pulled out a chair for her.

He looked at Sunny in Ava's arms and asked, "Can I hold him for a while?"

Ava nodded and handed Sunny to him.

Alexander held Sunny. Seeing how well-behaved he was, he was exceptionally gentle.

Ava said, "He doesn't resemble William at all; he looks more like you."

Sunny was unusually well-behaved in Alexander's arms. Alexander just kept holding Sunny and sat down on a chair.

"Ava, just let me hold him like this. I won't hurt him."

Ava nodded. "Okay."

They were relatively harmonious in the private room.

While waiting for the food, Alexander kept finding topics.

They couldn't help but talk about some happy times from the past and ended up laughing.

Sunny was also infected by the joyful atmosphere and started laughing.

Ava suddenly felt very emotional. They were clearly a family of three, but now they were apart.

"Alexander, there's something I want to tell you."

She couldn't hold it in any longer.

"What is it?" Alexander looked up and asked.

Ava clutched her clothes tightly, feeling very nervous. She didn't know what the consequences would be once she said it.

Just then, her phone rang. She picked up her phone and saw it was an email.

She opened the email, and inside were some documents. Upon closer inspection, they were medical examination reports.

It was clearly Alexander's examination report, showing that although his stomach wasn't in great shape, there was no tumor.

Seeing this email, Ava's eyes were filled with alarm. How did it get sent to her email?

Seeing Ava's incredulous expression, Alexander asked, "What's wrong?"

Ava didn't know if the email was real or fake. The sender was a stranger, so she immediately replied to the email: [Who are you, and why are you sending me this?]

After Ava replied, the sender quickly responded: [I just want you to know Alexander is a liar. He faked his medical report to gain your sympathy by claiming he had cancer. If you don't believe me, you can take him to the hospital for a check-up yourself.]

Ava put away her phone.

Alexander looked a bit worried. "What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

"Alexander, I know a hospital that's very good at treating tumors. I'll take you there for a re-examination tomorrow."

Alexander frowned slightly. "Why?"

"Getting a few more doctors to check will give us peace of mind."

"It doesn't matter," Alexander said. "I was examined at Stellaria and in the country. I can just proceed with the surgery."

"But I want to take you for a check-up. I want to see your medical records in person and understand what's really going on."

Alexander's face grew increasingly severe. "Ava, what do you mean by that?"
