Chapter 1234 Won't Let You Go
In the middle of the night, Alexander lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.
Until the door of the room was knocked.
"Alexander." It was Madison's voice outside.
Alexander sat up in the bed, lifted the quilt, and then got out of bed to open the door, "You're here."
"Alexander, what do you need me for?"
Alexander had someone bring Madison over.
Madison was worried that Alexander might ask her to have an abortion again.
But the doctor had made it very clear that she couldn't have an abortion. She had undergone a heart transplant, and it was already very difficult for her to conceive this child. An abortion would be too harmful to her body.
"Madison, the child cannot be without a father. Let's get married. We'll have the wedding next week, quick and decisive."
Madison was stunned, looking at him in shock, "Alexander, what did you say?"
It was the middle of the night, and she thought she was dreaming.
When Alexander sent someone to find her, Madison thought she was dreaming and pinched herself.
She followed the bodyguard here in fear, only for Alexander to say he wanted to marry her. This was something that could only happen in her dreams, how could it be happening in reality now?
Madison secretly pinched herself again, and it hurt.
She was so excited that she hugged Alexander, "Alexander, is it true? Do you want to marry me?"
Alexander's hands hung motionless at his sides, his whole body like a piece of wood, letting Madison hug him, but he did not reach out to hug her back.
Madison felt Alexander's stiff movements, she looked up at him, "Alexander, what's wrong? What happened? Tell me."
"It was Ava who told me to marry you."
Madison was stunned.
"What did you say?"
"Then I'll marry you." Alexander did not answer her question, but instead spoke to himself, then pushed her away, turned to the bedside table, opened the drawer, took out a ring box, and handed it to her, "This was bought for you. Tomorrow someone will help you with a custom-made wedding dress, and then you will be Mrs. Mitchell. It's late, you should go rest."
Alexander pushed Madison out of the room and then closed the door.
Madison's heart felt like it was pierced by something, it hurt.
What did he mean by Ava told him to marry her?
What did that mean?
The servant took Madison back to the guest room.
Madison lay in bed, unable to sleep, her mind constantly replaying Alexander's words.
It was Ava who told me to marry you.
She couldn't think about it too much, the more she thought about it, the angrier she got.
What did he mean by Ava told him to marry her?
Did Alexander listen to Ava?
It was ridiculous, how could such a thing happen?
If Ava didn't tell him to marry, would Alexander not marry her?
What kind of situation was this?
She had worked so hard to get to this point, only to be disgusted by Ava in the end.
"Ava, are you deliberately trying to disgust me? I won't let you get away with this!"
Since her so-called friend was unwilling to help her kill Ava, she would do it herself.
It wasn't hard to find someone.
A few days later, Madison went to the hospital for a prenatal checkup.
They were getting married the day after tomorrow, and everything was ready.
The wedding was kept simple.
For Madison, as long as she could marry Alexander, it was enough.
Anyway, she was about to become Alexander's wife.
During the prenatal checkup, Alexander did not accompany Madison, he only sent a few bodyguards.
After the checkup, the bodyguards were going to take Madison back, but Madison said she needed to use the restroom.
"I need to use the restroom, you don't have to follow so closely, stay a bit further away."
After Madison entered the restroom, she secretly looked outside, and after confirming that the bodyguards were far away, she took out her phone and sent a text message.
Then, she went to the sink and turned on the faucet to wash her hands.
