Chapter 500 Mental Support

She earnestly and patiently explained to him, seeking his forgiveness. She knew he must have been uncomfortable since she had promised William to come back soon, but ended up making him wait for so long. Now that he had amnesia and only remembered her, he must find it hard to endure, feeling abandoned.

William lifted his head from under the blanket. "Who? Is it a male or female?"

Ava smiled helplessly. He was jealous even though he has amnesia.

"Don't worry. He's eighteen. I only see him as a younger brother."

"Is that so? How did you meet such a friend and care so much about him?"

"He lives in the same neighborhood as me. We just got to know each other. Don't worry, there's nothing between us. We're just friends. I see him as a younger brother, and he sees me as a sister. If something happens to him, I can't just ignore him. Please don't keep dwelling on this, okay?"

William pouted like a child, still a bit angry. However, seeing Ava sincerely apologizing to him, he couldn't help but let go of his anger. He couldn't bear to keep blaming her.

Soon, William said with a hint of grievance, "Alright, I forgive you this time. But next time, don't do this again. At least tell me the reason. I've been waiting for you, thinking you didn't want me anymore."

William's voice trembled, tears welling up in his eyes as if he was about to cry. Ava had never imagined that William could be so fragile.

He had been through a lot, so it was normal for him to be like this now. With emotional wounds, he viewed her as his mental support.

Ava felt responsible. She had to take good care of him until he recovered.

"I understand. I will make sure to explain everything clearly next time. I won't do it again. Don't be sad. I'm back by your side now. I'm right here."

William stared at Ava blankly. Her comfort indeed made him feel much better. However, seeing Ava being so gentle and obedient in all things, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unfamiliarity, as if she shouldn't have been in this way.

Moreover, he felt that her tone and attitude towards him were like those of a mother to a child, not like those of a wife to a husband.

He seemed unable to see the intense love his wife should have for him in her eyes, but he was sure of his deep love for her, even though he had amnesia.

Seeing William lost in thought, Ava asked, "William, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

William shook his head. "No, I'm fine. Darling, have you had dinner?"

Upon hearing what Ava had just said, he guessed that she probably hadn't even had dinner.

Ava truthfully replied, "I haven't had yet. I'll go buy some food in a while."

"Let the bodyguard buy it for you. It's late, and I don't want you to go out."

William held her hand.

Seeing his insecurity and need for her, Ava agreed.

"Okay, I'll tell the bodyguard what I want to."

William nodded.

After instructing the bodyguard, the bodyguard swiftly brought her the food.

By this time, William was very tired. However, he kept staring at Ava, afraid she would leave. Eventually, he couldn't resist his drowsiness and fell asleep heavily.

After finishing dinner, Ava also prepared to rest.

William was staying in a VIP ward with a private bathroom. She packed some clothes and essentials, planning to accompany him here until he was discharged. When unfolded, the large sofa in the ward became a comfortable bed.
