Chapter 490 Treat You Well

Dalton sighed and nodded. "Alright, let's go out first."

They left the ward and closed the door behind them.

In the ward, there were only Ava and William.

"William, they all left. Are you feeling better now?" Ava sensed William's unease. They were his family. However, he had forgotten them, which was really pitiful.

William nodded. "I'm feeling better. I'm sorry, Ava. I can't remember them. They make me feel oppressed. Did I have a bad relationship with them in the past?"

Ava said, "No. Although your Dad was strict with you, you had a good relationship with Vicky. Do you also feel uncomfortable with her?"

William said, "I don't know. Whenever I think of them, I get a headache. I try hard to remember something, but it makes me uncomfortable."

Observing William's discomfort, Ava hurriedly said, "If it makes you uncomfortable, don't think about it. For now, recuperating and regaining strength is the most important, alright? It's a miracle that you woke up. I feel like God is really watching over you. You will definitely get through this and remember your family."

William gazed at Ava tenderly. "I also feel like God is watching over me. Otherwise, why would I remember my wife?"

William's eyes were filled with love. "I feel happy that I can remember you. Nothing else matters."

Ava gently said, "William, your memories shouldn't only include me. Your family also care about you. But don't rush it. If you feel uncomfortable, don't force yourself to remember. Just rest and make yourself comfortable."

Ava didn't want to pressure him to remember his family immediately. In such a short time, he had been through so much, struggling between life and death. Now that he had a second chance at life, she would let him do as he pleased.

William nodded. "I understand. But Ava, I also forget everything about us."

Ava asked, "What do you remember about us then?"

William thought for a moment. "When I opened my eyes, it seemed like you were the only person in my mind. I know I have a wife named Ava, who is important to me. However, I don't remember the specifics of what happened between us. It's all blurry. However..."

William placed a hand over his heart. "Yet my feelings persist, encompassing pain, joy, anger, as well as delight and happiness. Therefore, I am certain that you hold great significance to me."

Ava gently patted his hand. "You are also very important to me. Thank you for remembering me."

William smiled and said, "Ava, you are my wife. Since you chose me, I will treat you well. You won't regret marrying me. We will be happy together for a lifetime. I will never do anything that makes you sad. Even though I have forgotten many things between us, there is one thing I remember clearly, and that is how important you are to me. No one is more important than you."

Upon hearing William's words, Ava was stunned, a hint of worry flickering in her eyes.

It appeared that William truly regarded her as his wife. It seemed that he had forgotten that their marriage was fake.

With concern, Ava asked, "William, do you remember how we got married?"
