Chapter 1213 Living for Oneself

Time flew by, and half a month had passed.

Alexander, who had stopped taking his medication, felt worse than death every day. Sleeping pills could only help him fall asleep at night, but they couldn't stabilize his emotions.

He went to see a doctor, who said it was withdrawal symptoms and provided him with psychological counseling.

Without the support of medication, Alexander became increasingly out of control.

After returning home, he suffered from insomnia all night. Even sleeping pills couldn't help him sleep, and he couldn't concentrate on work during the day. Alexander's temper became more and more irritable, and he found everyone displeasing.

In the CEO's office.

Alexander was losing his temper, throwing documents on the ground, and he was scolding several senior executives.

"What are you all doing? A bunch of useless people, you can't even handle such a small matter!"

The few people were terrified. Alexander had never been this irritable before; he had always been very steady. Even if employees made mistakes, Alexander wouldn't get this angry. But recently, they felt that Alexander was becoming more and more off.

They could only quickly apologize to Alexander and promise to correct their mistakes.

"What's the use of correcting?" Alexander shouted at them. "It's just self-deception!"

Speaking of this, Alexander suddenly felt chest tightness. He thought about his divorce from Ava, and no matter how he tried to change, it was useless.

No matter what the situation was, he could always relate it to his divorce from Ava.

Even when drinking water, he would think of Ava, and every time he would feel heartbroken.

"Get out, all of you get out!" Alexander shouted loudly.

The few people picked up the documents from the ground and left the room dejectedly.

As soon as they opened the door, they saw a woman standing outside. One of them exclaimed, "Mrs. Mitchell, what are you doing here?"

"I'm no longer Mrs. Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell and I are divorced."

Hearing Ava's voice, Alexander was very surprised. Just as he was about to walk over, he saw Ava already coming in.

Ava, dressed in an elegant gray suit, looked both intellectual and capable as she slowly approached Alexander.

Seeing the furious Alexander, Ava said calmly, "You weren't this irritable before. What's going on? Is it because of our situation that your temper has changed?"

Alexander looked at her in shock. "Ava, why are you here?"

"I also want to know. Your father called me and said he had something important to discuss with me."

Alexander immediately composed himself. "Please sit down. What would you like to drink?"

Seeing Ava, Alexander was overjoyed. He thought about how she must have heard his outburst just now.

Ava sat on the sofa, put down her bag, and said, "Water is fine."

Alexander pressed the phone on his desk and asked the secretary to bring a glass of water.

Then, he came to Ava's side and explained, "They made a mistake just now, so I lost my temper. I'm not usually like this."

Ava noticed that Alexander's complexion was very poor. He seemed to have lost a lot of weight and didn't look as spirited as before; he looked quite desolate.

Hearing Alexander's outburst at the door just now, she felt alarmed.

"Alexander." Ava patted the empty seat next to her. "Sit down, we can talk."

She needed to be calm.

Alexander immediately sat next to her. "Ava, what do you want to say?"

Looking at Ava, Alexander's eyes were filled with gentle affection.

"Alexander, you're still so young, not even thirty yet. You have a long life ahead of you. Our marriage was just a chapter in your life, and even I am just a passerby in your life. You should live for yourself."
