Chapter 1027 She Had Walked Right Into a Trap
Madison flopped onto the bed, clutching the sheets, tears streaming down her face. "What do you want from me?"
Eason smirked, "Madison, welcome to my game. What I want? Well, that changes with my mood. Up until now, you were all just players, and I made the rules."
Madison's eyes widened as she realized she had walked right into his trap.
But now, she was stuck. If she told Alexander, he'd know she had been lying to him all along.
She had saved Alexander, not by chance, but on purpose.
Madison wiped her tears away. "Are you going to hurt Alexander?"
Eason shrugged, "That depends on how well you play along. When the game ends, if you behave, maybe I'll let you two be together forever. Remember, I'm the one who brought you two from strangers to acquaintances. My powers are greater than you think."
Eason's eyes sparkled with a confident grin. Madison knew she was no match for him and could only nod in defeat.
No matter what, she couldn't lose Alexander, so she had to go along with it.
"Good." Eason gently patted the back of her head. The gesture seemed tender, but his eyes were filled with menace.
Eason asked, "Want to know what Alexander is up to right now?"
Madison said, "He... hasn't he already gone back?"
"That's what you think." Eason pinched her cheek. "He's still at the hospital."
Madison gritted her teeth. "Why is he at the hospital? You mean he's with Ava? I don't believe it."
Eason let out a cold snort.
He yanked her off the bed. "Come with me."
Eason dragged Madison to Ava's hospital room.
Before Madison could say anything, the door to the room suddenly opened, and Alexander walked out.
Madison was stunned.
She immediately hid in a corner with Eason.
After Alexander left, Madison and Eason slipped into the room. Ava was lying on the bed, sound asleep. Madison covered her mouth, shocked, tears falling continuously.
Hadn't Alexander gone back? Why was he in Ava's hospital room?
And why was Ava here? What had happened?
Eason whispered in her ear, "I wasn't lying. Alexander never went back."
Ava was sound asleep on the bed.
Madison gritted her teeth and was about to approach when Eason grabbed her arm and led her out of the room.
Just as they left the room, Alexander returned, holding a cup of hot coffee.
Madison hid not far away, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.
Eason said sorrowfully, "Why is this happening?"
Eason said, "Because she is the woman Alexander loves the most. As for you, you're just a stand-in. Otherwise, why would he take care of Ava here instead of staying to look after you?"
Madison said, "I told him to go back, and he agreed. Why is his ex-wife, that woman named Ava, lying in the hospital room? What happened?"
Eason replied, "Ava isn't well. Alexander brought her for a check-up. So he's staying at the hospital with her."
Madison wiped the tears from her face. "What should I do?"
She had almost rushed over to grab Ava by the collar and demand to know why she was taking her Alexander.
