Chapter 1258 Who Should Be Blamed

Ava began, "William, she suddenly told me this news, and I was shocked too. It turns out we are cousins. However, our previous marriage wasn't real, so I hope neither of us feels burdened by this."

Ava still hadn't calmed down about the fact that William was her cousin. She hadn't expected that from being friends, to husband, ex-husband, they had gone through so many relationships, and finally ended up as cousins. It was quite absurd.

Ava didn't know what emotion to face this with, but she couldn't get too emotional because no matter how she reacted, it wouldn't change anything. In the end, she could only face reality calmly.

The only thing to be thankful for was that she and William were already divorced, and they hadn't been madly in love with each other.

Otherwise, it would have been even worse.

William's hand holding the flowers drooped, and the petals fell to the ground, as if they had lost their vitality and were starting to wither.

Seeing William's silence, Mandy couldn't see any shock in his eyes. She suddenly realized something, "William, did you know about this all along?"

Ava also looked at William in confusion upon hearing Mandy's words.

"I knew before I divorced Ava. Uncle Brandon told me; he discovered Ava's background." At this point, William could only admit it.

Ava was very shocked, "Since you knew, why didn't you tell me?"

At that time, they were still legally married. William knew such an important thing and didn't tell her, yet he continued to maintain their marriage. The more Ava thought about it, the less sense it made.

"Ava, I didn't tell you to protect you. Besides, you probably wouldn't want to have a connection with the Smith family suddenly. The reason I agreed to divorce you was because I knew about this, so I set you free. Otherwise, I wouldn't have divorced you."

"Ava." William took a step forward, looking at her with sorrowful eyes, "When I found out about this, do you know how much my heart ached? But I had to bear it alone. I didn't want you to bear the same pressure with me, so I didn't say anything. But now that you know, there's nothing we can do."

Ava didn't know what to say in the face of such an absurd situation.

"Then why didn't you tell me?" Mandy asked, "You said you didn't tell Ava to protect her, but I'm your grandmother. Why didn't you tell me?"

"Grandma," William said, "Everyone knows your temper. There are even rumors that Rodolfo was driven to death by you. Who would dare tell you?"

Mandy slapped him in anger, "None of you consider me family, do you? You don't tell me anything and imagine me as a vicious woman. Do you think I would do something to my granddaughter? Do you think I would kill her?"

"Can you not hit him?" Ava stood in front of William, "Things have turned out this way, and no one wanted this. What's the point of blaming each other? If you want to blame someone, I should blame you for irresponsibly giving birth to me and then sending me away. Now you tell me I'm an illegitimate child and that I married my cousin. Who should I blame?"

Ava's emotions were a bit agitated, "Both of you leave, just leave."

She forcefully pushed William and Mandy out.
