Alexander finally smiled and placed the flowers in the back seat.
"Let's hurry up. Grandma is still waiting for us."
Ava was worried that when they got there, Scarlett might be confused and not remember her. She wanted to talk to Scarlett more while she still recognized her.
"Okay, let's go," Alexander said as he started driving.
On the way, Alexander glanced several times at Sunny in Ava's arms.
"Ava, after you and William divorced, who did Sunny end up with?"
"With me," Ava answered without hesitation.
"Doesn't William have any objections? Doesn't he want any custody?"
Ava couldn't explain the situation to Alexander right now, so she vaguely said, "He can still see Sunny. It's not a complete break. This is between him and me, so you don't need to worry about it."

Ava turned her head to stare at Alexander's profile, feeling a sudden pang of sadness.

Alexander drove Ava to Scarlett's place.
At the door, Madison and Emily immediately came out to greet them.
