Chapter 1099 Exchanging Numbers

From what he heard, George was almost having a heart attack. He couldn't imagine what kind of life Eason had been living all these years, how hard it must have been for him alone.

Seeing George's tearful eyes, Eason looked at him curiously, "What's wrong with you? You don't feel sorry for me, do you?"

"No, no," George quickly explained. "It's just that hearing you say all this, I feel you're a very strong kid. You're nineteen now, still school age. Are you in school?"

He thought, growing up in an orphanage, many kids actually can't go to college.

"Uncle George, I have three PhDs."

George was shocked to hear this. "You, you have three PhDs?"

Eason nodded and responded softly, "Originally two, but I got another one in the past few months."

George found it unbelievable. "Are you a genius?"

"Well," Eason thought for a moment and said, "I wouldn't dare to call myself a genius, but studying is the easiest thing in the world for me. I have a photographic memory, so exams are easier than anything else."

Looking at Eason, George felt he was a smart kid.

If Eason really were his son, that would be wonderful.

He didn't dare to think that way. If Eason really was his son, they had missed so many years. He didn't even know Eason existed before. Wouldn't that be unfair to him?

"Eason, hurry up and eat, the food is getting cold."

George wanted to know more, but he was also scared, afraid to ask more questions.

He worried that the more he knew, the more anxious he would become.

If he really was his son, and his son had suffered so much, what should he do?

After lunch, Eason glanced at the time on his phone.

"Uncle George, I have something to do this afternoon. I have to go. Where are you going now?"

"I also have some things to take care of. Where are you going? I'll drive you."

"No need, Uncle George. I'll take a cab. You go handle your business."

"...Alright then." George didn't dare to be too enthusiastic. The two of them stood up and walked to the door.

George suddenly said, "Wait a minute."

"What's wrong, Uncle George?"

"You have a white hair. Can I pull it out for you?" George said, raising his hand.

Eason nodded, "Sure."

George directly plucked a hair from his head.

Eason immediately asked, "Uncle George, let me see."

"I already threw it away," George said. "It fell to the ground after I pulled it out."

In fact, he was holding that hair tightly in his hand, afraid it would fall.

"Alright then." Eason didn't ask further, "Uncle George, I'll be going now."

"Eason," George called out to him again.

"Is there anything else?"

"Can we exchange numbers? We can keep in touch. We really get along. Maybe we can be friends."

When George looked at him, his eyes were full of hope.

"Of course." Eason took out his phone. "Uncle George, what's your number? I'll write it down."

"I'll enter it for you." George entered his phone number into Eason's phone.

Then, George took out his phone and handed it to him, "You put your number in."

"Okay."

Eason then entered his number and handed the phone back to George.

George, worried that the number might be wrong, even called Eason's phone.
