Chapter 1094 Reap What You Sow
Alexander's words not only shocked George but also left Ava stunned.
She looked at him, her eyes filled with complexity.
George raised his hand and pointed at him, "You, what did you say?"
"Dad, let it go. You made a mistake, and it's irreversible. Holding on will only make both of you more miserable."
As he said this, he suddenly glanced at Ava.
Ava instinctively felt a bit of fear and immediately avoided his gaze.
Could Alexander be referring to the two of them?
Brandon opened his mouth, seemingly wanting to say something. Seeing this, Ava immediately gave him a look, signaling him not to speak now.
For some reason, Brandon listened to her and nodded.
The tension between George and Alexander was palpable.
After a long while, George spoke, "This is between your mom and me. You're my biological son. How can you wish for us to divorce in front of outsiders? I'm very disappointed in you."
After saying this, he turned to face Brandon, "Is Mia safe now?"
Brandon nodded, "I assure you, she is safe now. When she's ready, she'll come back to see you."
"Okay, then I'll wait for her to come back. As for our divorce, we'll talk about it when she comes back, actually.
No matter what the relationship between Brandon and Mia was, it was beyond George's control. He knew deep down that everything started with him.
He was the one who messed around outside first, and he abandoned his wife. Now, he was willing to bear all the consequences. It was his own doing.
As long as Mia was willing to come back, he would wait for her anytime.
George seemed particularly exhausted. He stumbled and turned to walk out.
"Dad." Alexander was about to follow, but George immediately said, "Don't follow me. I want to be alone for a while."
Alexander did not follow.
The three of them watched his figure grow more distant.
Ava said, "Since things are like this, as long as Mom is okay, Mr. Smith, we won't bother you anymore."
Brandon responded, "Then I'll be going now."
After taking a few steps, Brandon suddenly turned back and said, "By the way, Ava, how's Sunny?"
Ava said, "Sunny is doing well. He's at daycare."
"If there's a chance, can I see him?"
Ava was a bit puzzled.
Brandon also knew that Sunny was not William's child.
Now, she was divorced from William.
However, Ava didn't say much and nodded, "Okay."
After Brandon left, Ava turned to Alexander and said, "Since Mom is okay, I'm relieved."
"I'm really sorry for how my dad treated you just now," Alexander apologized sincerely.
"It's okay, I understand how he feels. I'll head back now."
Alexander said, "Let me take you home."
"No need, I'll go back myself. I drove here anyway."
Ava turned to leave.
Alexander was about to follow when suddenly his phone rang.
He picked up the phone, "Hello, Madison."
Hearing this, Ava faintly smiled and then left.
When Alexander turned back again, Ava was already gone.
He immediately chased after her, seeing Ava drive away. He sighed lightly.
He continued speaking to the person on the phone, "Madison, I've been a bit busy these past two days, so I might not have time to see you. Sorry."
After saying this, Alexander hung up the phone.
