Chapter 586 No Other Choice

Alexander lowered his eyes slightly and responded softly, "I admit I feel guilty towards you, but I don't love you."

Isabella threw off the covers and rushed to the window.

Seeing this, Alexander immediately dashed to Isabella's side. "Isabella!"

He quickly reached her and grabbed her arm forcefully.

Isabella stubbornly tried to push forward. "Let go of me!"

"Isabella, don't do this!" Alexander pulled her back.

"I don't want to live anymore. Just let me die! What's the point of living? Let go of me!"

Isabella cried heart-wrenchingly, and as Alexander pulled her back, she fell into his arms, hugging him tightly. She buried her head in his chest, sobbing uncontrollably. "You can't do this to me. You promised to marry me. You gave me your word!"

"Isabella, didn't you hear what the doctor said? You can't get agitated," Alexander said.

"I am agitated! I don't care about anything anymore. I barely survived, and now you're treating me like this. What's the point of living? Just let me die!"

Alexander held her shoulders and pushed her away slightly, asking earnestly, "Isabella, do you really want to marry me that much?"

Isabella's eyes were wet and blurry as she stared at him. "Do you really need to ask me that?"

"Even if I don't love you, you still want to marry me? You still want to be my wife?"

"You promised me. You don't need to emphasize whether you love me or not. Alex, I want you to keep your promise. Just know that I love you. I can share my love for you with you. No, I can give you a lot of it. I have an endless amount of love for you! My love for you is immeasurable by anything in this world. As long as I can be by your side, I'm willing to do anything. I don't care about anything else as long as you let me stay by your side!" Isabella explained.

Alexander lowered his eyes in despair.

A vision of a sad woman seemed to materialize before him. It wasn't Isabella but Ava.

What he saw was despair!

He had never felt such despair with Ava. This despair came from within himself. He saw no hope of reconciling with Ava, and Ava would never forgive him.

She was already married to William. Everything was set in stone.

"Fine, I'll marry you. I'll take you back today to prepare, and we'll have the wedding the day after tomorrow," Alexander said.

Isabella couldn't believe it. She wanted to ask if he was serious, but every time she asked, Alex assured her it was true. This time, she really couldn't believe it, but she had to.

She had no other choice but to believe.

Isabella was about to say something, but Alexander interrupted her, "Isabella, there's one more thing you need to understand."

"What is it?" She asked.

"I'll marry you, but you must know that I don't have any love for you. So, our marriage will be a sham. I'll treat you well and give you whatever you want, but I won't treat you like a husband treats his wife. I won't even sleep in the same bed as you. Do you still want to marry me?"

The cruelest words in the world are often spoken in the calmest tones.

"Alexander, do you have to be so cruel?"
