Chapter 1288 Feeling Ashamed

After Alexander calmed down, he looked up towards the door and said, "Someone, come in."

The bodyguard walked in, "Mr. Mitchell, what are your orders?"

"Contact my father, tell him I have something urgent to tell him, and ask him to come over."

"Okay."

The bodyguard immediately went out to make the call. After a while, he came back and said, "Mr. Alexander Mitchell, I can't reach Mr. George Mitchell."

"Can't reach him?"

The bodyguard nodded, "Yes, his phone is off."

"Keep trying, call the company, call the house, find him for me."

Alexander suddenly had a bad feeling.

George slowly opened his eyes and smelled a faint floral scent.

He sat up in front of the bed and turned his head to see an incense burner not far away, exquisitely crafted, with smoke curling up from its hollows.

His head felt a bit dizzy. He glanced at the unfamiliar surroundings and then got out of bed.

Where is this place?

At that moment, the door opened, and Eason walked in, "You're awake."

"Eason, where is this? Weren't we having dinner?"

George remembered that he was having dinner with Eason when he received a call from the hospital saying that Alexander had been resuscitated again, and he needed to rush over.

But at that time, he felt dizzy and passed out, and when he woke up, he was here.

"We were indeed having dinner, but you fainted, so I quickly brought you here."

"But this doesn't seem like my home, where is this?"

"This isn't your home, it's my home. This is my house, it's a bit small, but you can make do."

"Oh, I see. Did you buy this house yourself?" George asked.

Eason looked around at his house, "Yes, I bought it myself."

"You're only nineteen, where did you get the money to buy a house?"

"I am indeed only nineteen, but that doesn't mean I can't afford a house. I have more money than you think."

Eason turned to the table and poured him a glass of water, "Have some water."

George took the glass and suddenly remembered something, "Right, the hospital called me and said Alexander had been resuscitated again. What time is it now?"

George felt his pockets, but his phone was missing.

"Where's my phone?"

"He's already been resuscitated, don't worry. I called the hospital to check."

Hearing this, George breathed a slight sigh of relief.

"Just rest here, don't worry about anything outside. Your complexion is getting worse."

George looked at Eason in confusion, feeling that something was off, "Eason, what's wrong with you today?"

Eason slowly lowered his gaze, let out a sigh, and took a seat in the chair.

"Today is my mom's death anniversary. I was supposed to visit her this afternoon, but you fainted, so I had to take care of you. Now it's already dark, my mom must be waiting for me."

"Your mother's death anniversary?" George felt a pang of sadness, "Where is your mother buried? I can go with you."

"Go with me?" Eason glanced out the window; it was already dark, "Would you be willing?"

"Of course, since I'm your godfather, I should visit your biological mother's grave on her death anniversary. Let's go together and buy her a bouquet of flowers on the way."

George's voice was somewhat emotional.

"Alright, then wash your face first, and we'll head out to see my mom."

George went to the bathroom to wash his face. Looking at himself in the mirror, he sighed softly.

His heart was filled with countless worries.

Although Cheryl had passed away, and he would only see her tombstone and grave later, he still felt guilty in his heart.
