Chapter 660 Who is the Kidnapper

"You're so fierce," the man's pitiful voice came through. "Can't we talk nicely? Why are you so aggressive? You're scaring me. If you scare me, I might get shaky. If I get shaky and something happens to Ava, then what to do?"

Alexander was seething with anger, his fists clenched, knuckles cracking.

"How is Ava now? If anything happens to her, I will..."

"Are you threatening me?" the man interrupted. "Mr. Mitchell, you must understand the situation. She's in my hands, and I can do whatever I want. The more you tell me not to touch her, the more I want to. I'm naturally rebellious; I respond to gentleness, not threats. What are you going to do about it?"

After taking a deep breath, Alexander suppressed his anger and said, "What do you want? You must have a purpose. Otherwise, what's the point of doing this? Are you my enemy?"

The man suddenly fell silent.

Alexander suddenly realized something. "Have we met before? Do we have some kind of grudge? If so, come at me directly. What's the point of bullying a woman?"

"Bullying her? You annoying jerk, how dare you say I'm bullying her? You're really pissing me off. I'm not talking to you anymore. I'll call William and have him find your wife." With that, he hung up.

Alexander cursed in anger and immediately redialed the number. However, the call was quickly disconnected on the other end and could no longer be reached.

Alexander quickly handed the phone to Eason and said, "Trace this number!"

Time ticked by.

They found nothing.

The number was virtual, impossible to trace back to its source.

None of the cameras picked up any clues, as if he could teleport, leaving no trace.

Who was he?

Alexander couldn't sit there waiting. He remembered the man saying he would call William. Although he despised William, he had to contact him for Ava's sake.

Alexander called William.

William initially thought it was the kidnapper calling, but when he heard Alexander's voice, he cursed, "Alexander, why are you calling me? Are you insane?"

"I think you're the one who's out of your mind. And you have the nerve to say that to me."

"You..." William was about to retort when Alexander quickly said, "The kidnapper called me."

William was stunned.

Immediately, he asked, "Who is the kidnapper? Where is my wife? Tell me now!"

His choice of words annoyed Alexander.

"He didn't tell me where Ava is. He just said he would call you. Did he call you?" Alexander asked.

On the other end, William was silent.

Alexander instantly understood. The kidnapper hadn't called William; otherwise, William wouldn't have said that.

"Looks like the kidnapper didn't call you."

William asked, "Who is the kidnapper? Why did he call you? What did he say?"

"Nothing useful. I barely asked him a few questions before he hung up. He said he would call you. But it seems he didn't. That's all I know."

"I don't believe you, Alexander. He must have told you something. What information did you get? Tell me now; it's about Ava's safety."
