"Mr. Bennett, this is the food I bought for you. Let me help you set it up."
Next to the hospital bed lay a collapsible table. With a simple press of a button, the table folds out neatly above the bed, providing a surface for the patient to place their meals.
"Where is Ava? Why are you here?" William asked.
The bodyguard said, "Ava had something to take care of and couldn't come for the moment. She asked me to bring the food to you first. Have your meal, and rest well afterward. She will come as soon as possible."
"What affairs does she have to attend to?" William asked, "Where is she now?"
The bodyguard shook his head. "I don't know either. When I received the call from Ava, she only told me to take good care of you and that she would come back as soon as she finished her business."
William fumbled anxiously around the bedside as if he were looking for something.
The bodyguard immediately asked, "William, what do you need?"
"Give me the phone. I want to call her!"
"Alright." The bodyguard immediately took the phone out of his pocket, found Ava's number, dialed it, and handed it to William.
However, from the other end of the phone came a voice. "Sorry, the number you dialed is powered off. Please try again later."
William breathed rapidly. He threw the phone aside and grabbed the bedsheet tightly, trembling all over. "Ava wanted to abandon me and left. She dislikes and avoids me."
The bodyguard quickly put the phone back in his pocket, and said, "Don't think like that. Ava cares about you a lot. She must have something urgent to attend to, and that's why she can't come now. Don't worry. She will come to see you soon."
"She won't come. Her phone is turned off. She did it on purpose. She doesn't want me. She must despise me for losing my memory, not remembering anything!" William felt scared.

"Of course, just wait patiently. Ava will definitely come back. She must have urgent matters to attend to. She's not the type to leave without a reason. Even when she's busy, she still remembers to call me to buy you food. She was probably occupied with something urgent. So, don't worry."
"But... her phone is off. She doesn't answer my calls."
"If her phone is off, it could be that her phone ran out of battery. There are many reasons. If Ava really wanted to abandon you, she would have left when you were in a coma. Don't think too much for now and have some food first. Otherwise, Ava will worry."
He placed the meal on the table.
William restrained his emotions and nodded. "You are right. I should have a meal properly."
He couldn't rely on Ava for everything, or she would eventually get tired of him.
