Chapter 884 Out of Context

But last time, it was totally William who set up Alexander.

If William hadn't fessed up, she might've always blamed Alexander.

Looking back, that whole thing was pretty freaky.

If William could pull it off once, why not twice?

But this time, with no cameras around, she had no clue what really went down.

She didn't wanna think the worst of Alexander, but she also didn't wanna think the worst of William.

One of them had to be lying.

But who? She was dying to know.

She even kinda hoped it was William, 'cause she didn't wanna be let down by Alexander again.

"Ava, I admit I said some stuff to him, but that was 'cause Alexander dissed you. I got super mad and then he just decked me. Of course, I had to hit back. Trust me, I'm being straight with you."

"You said some stuff to him?" Ava's voice shook, "What did you say?"

"I just told him I'd take good care of you and Sunny. I clapped back at his insults and told him off for being so harsh."

"No way, Alexander wouldn't do that." Madison jumped in to defend Alexander, "Alexander's a sweetheart. He wouldn't insult you. No chance."

Madison hugged Alexander tight.

She believed in Alexander, no questions asked.

"Really? You sure about that?" William sneered.

"Of course I'm sure. I know Alexander. He wouldn't talk like that. I think you're the one who messed with him."

Now it was a total standoff. Both sides sticking to their stories, no proof. No clue who to trust.

But the fight? That definitely happened.

Ava's head was spinning, "Who should I believe? Can't someone just tell me the truth?"

"Ava, I've got proof." William said, pulling out his phone and playing a recording.

Alexander's voice came through clear as day: "William, you can have Ava. I don't want her anymore. Anyway, I have someone else now. Last time Ava picked you, which made you all smug, but I also thank her for that. It made me see things clearly and led me to the woman I really care about."

People around started whispering, giving Alexander weird looks.

They didn't know the whole story, but just hearing that made them uncomfortable. Women aren't things to be tossed aside. It sounded pretty harsh.

Ava stared at Alexander, stunned.

It was definitely Alexander's voice.

"Alexander, did you say this?" Ava's voice was shaking.

Alexander looked at William, shocked.

He didn't expect William to record it, and he didn't record the whole thing, only that misleading part out of context.
