Chapter 718 Going to See Alexander
Ava said, "I'm having surgery tomorrow. The doctor doesn't want me traveling. It could harm the baby, and I can't risk that."
Ava looked worried. She really wanted to see Alexander, to go to him no matter what.
She could have gone regardless. However, she was pregnant with Alexander's child, so she had to be cautious.
"Does my brother know you were planning to see Alexander today?" Vicky asked.
Ava nodded. "He knows. He found out last night. He was supposed to take me today, but after hearing what the doctor said, he gave up."
"I see." Vicky's eyes shifted slightly, as if she had thought of something.
'Why does it sound a bit off?'
Ava felt more and more uneasy as she thought about it. "I don't know how the surgery will go tomorrow. I really want to see him. It would be nice if he answered my calls."
"Ava, do you know where Alexander is right now?" Vicky asked.
Ava responded, "I do."
"How about I drive you to see him?" Vicky offered.
Ava's heart leaped with joy. "Really?"
But then she thought of something. "But the doctor said..."
"The doctor is probably just worried about you traveling," Vicky interrupted her. "I'll push you in a wheelchair to the car, and then drive you there. You won't have to walk at all. I'll push you in the wheelchair the whole time. How about that?"
Hearing Vicky's plan, Ava was tempted. "I think that could work, but... should we ask the doctor first?"
"The doctor will definitely say no. Doctors are always cautious and conservative. Even if it's okay, they would still tell you it's not."
That was what Ava wanted to hear from Vicky.
Ava nodded. "Exactly. So, please take me to see him. Thank you."
She finally found a good enough excuse to see Alexander, to go to him no matter what.
Vicky smiled. "You don't need to thank me. I'll take you, but you have to promise me one thing."
"What is it? Just tell me, I'll agree to anything," Ava said anxiously.
As long as she could see Alexander, she would agree to anything Vicky asked.
Vicky said, "Even if I take you to see Alexander, you can't get too emotional. No matter what happens, you have to stay calm. If you really can't, you have to listen to me. Do whatever I say, or I won't take you."
"Okay, okay, I'll listen to you." Ava nodded vigorously. "Vicky, please take me now."
Ava had already given up hope, but Vicky was helping her now, giving her a reason to hope again.
She had to see Alexander, no matter what.
Vicky said, "Remember what you said. If anything happens, you have to listen to me. If I think something's wrong, I'll bring you back, and you can't refuse."
"Vicky, I promise I'll listen to you."
Then, Vicky pushed her in the wheelchair and they left.
"Vicky, should we tell William?"
William and Eason were still lying in bed.
"No need," Vicky said. "Let them stay there. My brother deserves a lesson."
