Chapter 991 Sensing Something
Alexander thought, "In this world, maybe only Madison is willing to go along with my lies and put up with me. No matter how weird my requests are, she just goes with it. Why is Madison so good to me? So good it makes my heart ache. Maybe one day, I'll really fall for her."
Madison said, "Mr. Bennett, I need to have a word with you."
She gently let go of Alexander's hand and walked over to William.
But Alexander grabbed her hand. "Don't go."
Madison reassured him, "Alexander, I just need to say a few things to him, just a few. Don't worry. I trust Mr. Bennett won't harm me here. This is a hospital with cameras everywhere; he can't do anything."
The mention of cameras had a hidden meaning.
Back then, William had stormed into Alexander's house and wrecked the cameras.
William got the hint and sneered.
Madison stood in front of William and said, "Mr. Bennett, the mess between you and Alexander started with your wife, but I believe with time, you'll both move on. No matter what, I hope you take good care of your wife. After all, she is Alexander's ex-wife, grew up with him, like a sister."
Madison glanced at Alexander and continued, "So, Ava's happiness is the most important. I believe you can make her happy."
William squinted, looking at Madison with suspicion.
"Mr. Bennett, Alexander's sister is my sister. Whoever Alexander cares about, I care about, no matter who she is." Madison, with tears in her eyes, grabbed William's hand. "Mr. Bennett, please take care of Ava."
William's brow furrowed, not expecting Madison to pull such a move, holding his hand. He thought she was crazy. But in an instant, he sensed something.
Madison seemed to be signaling him with her eyes.
William immediately pulled his hand back and said coldly, "Ms. Allen, you're too presumptuous. Ava has nothing to do with you now; she's my wife. Since you two already have a child, stay together forever and don't bother Ava and me."
With that, William turned and left, his steps full of disdain.
Alexander hugged Madison from behind. "Madison, what were you doing just now? Why did you say those things to him?"
Madison gently held Alexander's hand. "Alexander, I know how important Ava is to you. I get a bit jealous of her. After all, I'm a woman too. My heart aches, and I get jealous, but I also understand how important she is to you. If anything happens to her, or if she's not happy, you won't be happy either. So, from the bottom of my heart, I hope Ava can be happy."
Madison turned around, nestled into his arms, and hugged Alexander's waist tightly. "I said those things to William just now, hoping he won't trouble you anymore. If he can see that we're very happy, that would be great. I don't want you two to have any more conflicts and you get hurt. I don't want that to happen."
