Chapter 928 Stop Crying

At that moment, one of William's guys came running over. He saw the mess on the ground and carefully stepped around the debris to get to William.

"Mr. Bennett, Alexander's headed to the desert," the guy said, trying to be careful.

William rushed up, grabbed his arm, and asked, "Did he find her?"

The guy shook his head, "Nope, he didn't."

William had also sent people to look for Ava, but they couldn't find any trace of her. Later, even her phone couldn't be reached.

So, he sent someone to tail Alexander to see what he was up to.

At first, he didn't tell Alexander that Ava had checked in with him. He wanted Alexander to find Ava. And if he found her and she was safe, then Alexander would absolutely annoy her, because Ava wanted some time alone.

But Alexander went to disturb her, searching for her everywhere. Ava would definitely hate him even more. At that moment, he would appear and take Ava away.

But if something really happened to Ava, having Alexander would mean an extra hand in finding her, which wasn't a bad thing.

Whether Ava was in trouble or not, he would have people follow Alexander and appear at the right moment. Either way, he would come out ahead.

However, William didn't want anything to happen to Ava. He preferred the first scenario, where Ava was safe and just wanted some time alone, and Alexander went to bother her.

But now it seemed that something really had happened to Ava. His anger and hatred towards Alexander, along with his worry for Ava, were all tangled up inside him, like a raging beast roaring in his heart, making him restless all the time.

Suddenly, he heard Sunny crying, the sound was faint because it was far away.

"Why is Sunny crying?" he asked.

William ran out, stepping on the debris, and saw a servant holding Sunny at the corner of the garden, trying to soothe him.

"Please, stop crying," the servant whispered.

"What’s going on?" William shouted.

The servant was startled, "Mr. Bennett."

William's shout scared Sunny, making him cry even harder.

William rushed forward, snatched Sunny away and angrily said, "Get out of here! You can't even take care of a child. You useless!"

"I'm sorry, Mr. Bennett, I'm sorry," The servant hurried away.

William held Sunny, trying to soothe him, "Sunny, what's wrong? Why are you crying? Are you feeling sorry for me? Are you also angry at Alexander? You're really my good son. We are of one mind, aren't we?"

"Alexander hurt your mother, made her heartbroken, but I have always been by her side, accompanying her, protecting her, trusting her unconditionally and even treating her child as my own. Yet your mother still has feelings for him. I really can't accept it," he continued.

"Sunny," William hugged the child tightly, "I can't accept it. In what way am I inferior to Alexander? He's just trash. He treats all women well, sometimes it's Isabella, sometimes it's Madison, and who knows, there might be another woman in the future."

"Why doesn't your mom understand? Only I can give her happiness, give her a sense of security, make her a happy woman. But your mom doesn't understand!" he shouted.

William suddenly started crying. He cried like a madman, tears falling drop by drop on Sunny, mixed with the smell of alcohol, reeking of drunkenness.
