Chapter 739 Your Son
Mia suddenly burst out laughing. "You really have the nerve to say that? When I was pregnant, you were already cheating with Hailey. After my baby was born, I didn't even get to see him before he died. You killed him! Because you were scared the Smith family would be upset!"
"I didn't kill him! He was my child too, how could I possibly kill him!" Dalton shouted, clearly agitated.
The thought that Mia always believed he had killed their child tore at his heart, but Mia didn't believe him. It was useless to explain, and back then, he couldn't tell her the truth.
Mia laughed like a madwoman. "If you didn't kill him, then how did my child die? During my check-ups, my baby was perfectly healthy, but after I gave birth, he died."
"Dalton, you dumped me to marry that rich girl and climb the social ladder. But to eliminate any future troubles, you even killed your own child! You're too cruel!" Mia accused.
She wiped the tears from her face forcefully and said, "I don't want to stay in the same car with you. Let me out, let me out!"
"The child didn't die." Afraid that she might lose control, Dalton finally revealed the secret that had been hidden for many years.
"What did you say?" Mia was stunned, looking at him in disbelief.
She grabbed Dalton's arm, asking eagerly, "Say it again! Dalton, say it again!"
"I'll tell you the whole truth, but not here. If you want to know the truth, you need to calm down. Otherwise, if we get into an accident, you'll never know." Dalton tried to calm her down.
Mia wiped the tears from her face and said, "You're lying to me. My child is already dead."
"He's not dead," Dalton repeated.
"Then where is he?" Mia pressed on.
Dalton didn't answer but floored the gas pedal, speeding up.
He drove Mia to his private villa, holding her hand tightly all the way, and dragged her into a room, throwing her onto the bed.
Mia climbed up from the bed and grabbed his collar.
She anxiously asked, "Can you talk now? If the child isn't dead, where is he?"
Dalton grabbed her hand and said, "I can tell you, but you have to be with me."
Mia laughed, pushing him away forcefully. "How dare you say such shameless things to me! I was with you since I was seventeen, I gave you everything, and how did you treat me? You kept me as a mistress, hiding your affair with your current wife from me, and you even got her pregnant. You abandoned me for your future, and now you have the nerve to ask me to sleep with you?"
She was only eighteen when she got pregnant.
After knowing Dalton had abandoned her, she didn't plan to cling to him. She planned to raise the child on her own and would never seek out that scumbag.
But she didn't expect her child to die right after birth.
She only saw Dalton standing coldly beside her, expressionless, delivering the cruel news.
All these years, she believed Dalton had killed their child for his future and to eliminate any future troubles.
She never got to see her poor child.
"I've divorced my ex-wife." Dalton grabbed her shoulders. "Mia, let's start over. I'll tell you where our son is, and I'll bring him to meet you."
"Enough, Dalton, you're shameless. I could never be with you! I will never forgive a man who abandoned me!" Mia yelled.
"I didn't abandon you." Dalton shouted, "I never abandoned you. I admit, I married another woman for my future, but I never wanted to leave you. I still wanted to support you. If you had just stayed quietly by my side, we could have been together openly when the time was right. But you refused to endure, you always fought with me, and I had no choice!"
"And you feel wronged?" Mia mocked, "You had an affair with another woman, you wanted to marry her, and you wanted me to be your mistress. You're despicable, but I'm not as cheap as you!"
"Don't you want to know where our child is?" Dalton asked.
He was despicable, But he never expected Mia's stubbornness to last for so many years.
"Dalton, I won't believe your lies. Scum like you never tell the truth easily. William is just like you; you both treat women the same way. You old bastard, you raised a little bastard!" Mia roared.
"That bastard is your own son!" Dalton finally roared, "You call him a bastard, but he's the son you've been longing for!"
