Chapter 1156 Divorce Case
"Then I'll leave first." Eason, hiding behind George, said to Mia, looking somewhat timid.
"You don't need to talk to me, I don't know you." Mia frowned. She didn't like Eason much; he was sweet-talking to everyone and very scheming.
George and Eason were so close, she didn't understand what he was thinking, but it didn't matter anymore.
"Mia, why do you have to be so harsh?" George frowned and said.
"I'm just harsh, so what?" Mia was too tired to speak nicely.
"George, Mom just got buried, I don't want to argue with you. I've already found a lawyer to file for divorce. When it goes to court, it will be ugly. I'll expose all your affairs and let the reporters broadcast it repeatedly. Now that Mom is dead, she can't see it. I don't mind dealing with you this way unless you divorce me before then."
Mia turned and left.
George was about to catch up, but Mia turned her head and said, "Don't follow me."
Then, Mia got into a car and drove away.
George clenched his fists and sighed helplessly.
Eason stepped forward and gently patted his shoulder, "Uncle George, I'm sorry, I said something wrong just now and made her angry."
"It's not your fault." George said sadly, "It's all my fault."
"Uncle George, I'll leave now. You should go home and rest early. You look very tired."
George said, "Eason, thank you. I'll treat you to dinner another day."
"Okay, let's keep in touch."
After saying goodbye, they left the cemetery.
Bishop drove Ava back to her place.
Sunny had been crying all the way, and even after getting home, she wouldn't stop. Ava tried everything to soothe her but was on the verge of tears herself.
"Sunny, please stop crying, okay? I'm begging you."
Bishop closed the door and came to her side, "Ava, let me hold Sunny and give it a try, okay?"
"Okay." Ava handed Sunny to Bishop.
Bishop held Sunny and soothed her for a while. Gradually, Sunny stopped crying in his arms.
Ava was both angry and sad, "Why does she cry whenever I hold her? I thought she didn't cry when Alexander held her because he's her biological father. But why does she stop crying when you hold her? And William too, she doesn't cry when he holds her. What am I doing wrong?"
"Ava, don't say that." Bishop quickly comforted her, "It's not your fault. You're just too tired, and you've been trying to soothe Sunny for a long time. She just happened to stop crying in my arms because she's tired of crying. You go sit on the couch for a while, and I'll feed Sunny and put her to sleep, okay?"
"Bishop, thank you." Ava was exhausted both physically and mentally.
"No need to thank me. I should be thanking you since I'm recovering at your place. Go sit down for a while."
With that, Bishop took Sunny back to the room.
He made some formula for Sunny and changed her diaper.
Before long, Sunny was asleep.
He placed Sunny in the cradle and went to the living room, where he saw Ava sitting on the couch, holding a tissue and crying.
But she was trying hard not to cry out loud.
Bishop stood beside her, silently watching her, and finally sat down next to her.
He didn't say anything, just quietly kept her company.
After a while, he reached out and gently patted her back.
"Ava, come cry in my arms."
