Chapter428 Normal Pregnancy Vomiting
In the bathroom, Ava vomited. William waited anxiously outside.
After a while, Ava came out, looking pale.
"Ava, it's all my fault. If you don't want to get married, I'll tell my father the truth. It's okay. You don't have to..."
"I'm fine," Ava reassured. "Just a normal reaction to pregnancy, nothing serious. It has nothing to do with you."
Afraid that he would worry, Ava gave him a gentle smile. "It's okay now. Let's go out. Don't keep them waiting."
They walked through several corridors before returning to the living room.
Ava had intentionally asked William to take her to a more distant bathroom, fearing that her vomiting would be overheard.
If the Bennett family found out that she was pregnant with her ex-husband's child and marrying William, it would surely lead to complications.
Although her marriage to William was not real, it had to appear authentic.
After returning to the living room, William didn’t want Ava to bear the pressure here. He said, "Mom, Dad, I'll take Ava back first. You can rest."
Dalton stood up and said, "It's late. Just stay here. I'll have a car sent to take you to get the marriage certificate early tomorrow morning."
Ava said, "Dalton, I need to go back and prepare the necessary documents for the marriage."
Dalton thought for a moment. "That's fine. Tomorrow, I'll send my assistant to the courthouse to wait for you. He will accompany you throughout the process. After you get the marriage certificate, you can come back, and we can discuss the remaining matters."
Ava nodded. "Okay."
After everything was settled, everyone dispersed.
Ava and William got in the car.
Vicky was driving because William had been drinking.
Vicky returned home as well. She had been lingering in the car, hesitant to step inside for fear of potential reproach should anything go amiss. She continued to hide in the car timidly.
Upon learning of the successful turn of events, Vicky was exhilarated to the utmost degree as Dalton had finally placed his trust in them.
Vicky drove Ava back home.
It was already late at night.
Ava lay on the bed, exhausted, staring at the ceiling, and let out a long sigh.
Thinking about marrying William tomorrow, she felt a mix of emotions.
But all of this was her decision, and she had to face whatever happened tomorrow.
Ava picked up her phone to check the time, intending to take a shower. She suddenly received a message. It was from Eason.
Last time, she added him on Facebook to repay a debt. Eason had accepted the request the next day, sending her a message
Eason: [I've been busy and didn't have time to reply. Let's chat when I'm free.]
Ava transferred the money to him and replied with a simple: [Okay.] However, they hadn't talked since.
Today, she realized that Eason hadn't received the payment, and the money had been automatically refunded.
Tonight, Eason messaged her.
Eason:[Are you asleep?]
Ava replied.
Ava: [Not yet. Why didn't you receive the payment?]
Eason: [I was too busy. It's okay. You don't need to give me the money. Consider it my treat.]
Ava: [Then I'll treat you to a meal next time.]
Eason: [Sure, but it's late. It would help if you rested early. Staying up late can give you dark circles.]
Ava: [I was just about to take a shower.]
Eason: [Alright, go shower and rest.]
Ava: [You should rest early, too.]
Eason sent a heart emoji.
After a brief exchange, Ava got up from the bed.
