Chapter 675 Chose You

"Between them, would you kill the injured one?" Ava asked.

"Since he's already injured, why would I kill him?"

The man picked up the phone again. "The left button is for Alexander, the right button is for William, and the bottom button is for both of them to die. Which one should I press? Should I kill one, or both? You choose."

"No, I can't. Neither of them can get hurt, let alone die. Please, let them go. I'll play whatever game you want, just let them go!"

"I'll give you ten seconds to choose one, or else they both die." The man was losing patience.

With that, he began to count down, "Ten, nine..."

Ava hurriedly asked, "How badly will the injured one be hurt?"

"Eight, seven, six..."

"Answer me! How can I choose if you don't answer me?"

"Five, four..."

"I'm begging you, don't do this!"

"Three, two, one."

"I choose Alexander!"

In a moment of desperation, Ava was forced to make a choice.

Hearing the name "Alexander," the man curled his lips into a meaningful smile. "You chose Alexander, huh? So that means you want William to get hurt?"

As he spoke, the man pointed his finger at the right button.

"No." Ava's lips trembled, and her eyes filled with tears. "I mean, I chose Alexander to get hurt."

As soon as Ava finished speaking, the man immediately pressed a button on the phone.

Alexander and William searched the building thoroughly but couldn't find any trace of Ava.

"Ava, where are you?"

"Stop shouting," Alexander said, "She's not here. Shouting won't help!"

"Then come up with something useful!" William snapped, "Otherwise, just shut up!"

Alexander sneered, saying, "William, remember what I said in the restaurant that day? Looks like I was right. You can only rely on Ava to protect you, but you're of no use. She got kidnapped while she was with you, and you can't even protect her as her husband!"

"Alexander, shut up! You have no right!"

Just as William was about to punch him, a bullet suddenly shot through the air and hit Alexander in the chest.

Alexander looked down to see a large amount of blood gushing from his chest. He was stunned at first, then staggered back a few steps, and fell to the ground, clutching his chest, his face gradually turning pale.

William quickly hid behind a pillar, scanning the surroundings.

"Hahaha." The man's laughter echoed in the empty space. "William, don't be afraid. I only injured Alexander. You're safe now. Walk out of here, turn right, and go straight for 3 miles. Ava is there. Go find her and take her home."

William immediately asked, "Really? You're not lying to me?"

"Why would I lie to you? Your wife already made her choice. She chose you. You should be happy."

"She chose me? What do you mean by that?" William asked.

"She chose to keep you safe and let Alexander get hurt."

Hearing this, William felt a surge of joy.

Alexander, clutching his bleeding chest, struggled to get up from the ground, but the continuous flow of blood was draining his strength.
