Chapter 978 Ridiculous Revenge

Madison got back into bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep.

She felt weird inside. Sure, William was a jerk, almost killing her and Alexander. She hated his guts and wished he’d just drop dead. Anyone who hurt Alexander deserved to die. But still, something felt off.

Thinking about William going to jail, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong.

Finally, she had a thought and sat up in bed.

Madison thought, 'If William dies, then there’s nothing stopping Ava and Alexander from being together. Did Alexander plan this? Is he trying to get William out of the way so he can have Ava? And knowing Ava, she wouldn’t even be sad if William died. She’d just run back to Alexander. No way, William can’t go to jail. If he does, no one will stop Alexander and Ava.'

Realizing this, Madison regretted and got really anxious. She clutched the blanket tightly, unsure of what to do.

She felt lost, and tears started streaming down her face.

Thinking about Alexander being with Ava, she knew she couldn’t just sit there. She had to come up with a plan.

Madison eventually drifted off to sleep, still lost in her thoughts.

Later that night, Alexander didn’t come to his room.

Madison had another dream where William went to jail, and Ava was all smug, throwing herself into Alexander’s arms.

In the morning, as the first rays of sunlight peeked through the skyscrapers, the city began to wake up.

The villa was surrounded by lush trees and perfectly manicured gardens.

The morning air was fresh and crisp, with a gentle breeze rustling the leaves.

The villa’s exterior walls were a warm gray stone, glistening in the morning light. The green lawn spread out in front, with dewdrops sparkling like tiny gems under the sunlight.

A low flower hedge surrounded the perimeter, filled with vibrant flowers, their fragrance filling the air.

A small pebble path led to the villa’s front door, flanked by neatly arranged green shrubs and colorful flower beds, all peaceful and lively.

Madison wore a long white dress.

On her wrist was a bracelet Alexander had given her, super expensive. There were only five in the world.

Alexander, worried she’d be uncomfortable in high heels, had her wear flats.

The toes of the shoes were encrusted with diamonds, shining brightly in the sun.

When they went out, sometimes he’d catch her staring at clothes in shop windows or admiring some jewelry, and he’d buy it for her right away.

Even though Madison always said it wasn’t necessary, Alexander insisted.

Madison was always happy to get the gifts, giving him a kiss to show her gratitude.

Alexander never refused, sometimes even holding her and kissing her back.

Giving Madison gifts felt like a weird form of revenge.

He used to give Ava gifts, only for her to smash them and throw them away like trash.

Every time he thought of this, all his resentment would come back. So, he gave things to other women, buying whatever was expensive. But after buying them, he still felt empty.

No matter how much Madison resembled Ava, she wasn’t Ava.

Hand in hand, Alexander and Madison left the villa and headed to the hospital.
