Chapter 674 A Little Leeway
Ava's chin was gripped by a large hand, her head lifted up. The man then showed her his phone with two men on the screen. "See? Those two men are here to save you."
Seeing the men on the screen, Ava was a bit flustered. "What do you want to do?"
"Good question. I want to know which one of them is more important to you."
"Neither of them," Ava said.
"Really?" The man laughed. "If that's the case, I'll just kill both of them.. I've set up a trap. As soon as I press the button, their heads will be blown off."
"No!" Ava hurriedly said, "I'm already in your hands. Why do you need to do this?"
"You're so nervous!" the man said, "Didn't you say they weren't important to you? Why do you care about people who aren't important?"
"I beg you, tell me, what exactly do you want to do, okay?"
"I told you, I want to know who is more important to you, your ex-husband whom you once loved deeply or your current husband. Do you love him?"
Ava helplessly closed her eyes and lowered her head. "Please, don't hurt them, I'm begging you."
"You're really putting me in a tough spot," the man released her face and put his hands on his hips. "You can't even say who is more important to you. It seems your decision-making needs some work."
"How about I help you choose? I'll let both of them die."
The man took out his phone from his pocket, clicked a few times, and held it in front of Ava. "See this? There are three buttons here. If I press this one at the bottom, two bullets will be fired."
"No!" Ava exclaimed, "I'm begging you, don't do this!"
"But you refuse to make a choice!"
"How am I supposed to choose?" Ava exclaimed.
"One is your ex-husband, and the other is your current husband. Isn't it easy to choose?" The man laughed. "Or do you want to have both? You can't be so greedy. If you can't choose, I'll help you. If they both die, and no one will bother you anymore."
"Then kill me. I'll choose myself. Kill me!"
Seeing Ava so agitated, the man sighed lightly. "You're really making this difficult for me. You know you're not an option."
"I don't care. If you kill them, it's like killing me. If they die, I won't live either!"
If Alexander and William both died here today because of her, she didn't know how she could go on living. She couldn't live a lifetime with guilt and pain.
"Do they really mean that much to you? One is your ex-husband who hurt you, and the other is your current husband who has become a useless amnesiac. You married him just to help him. For these two men, you're willing to give up your own life, even your own child. Do you think that's fair to yourself?"
The man seemed a bit angry, as if he was criticizing Ava for degrading herself.
"Is it important to you?" Ava retorted angrily, "You've tied me up and threatened me, and now you're shamelessly saying these things to me. Do you think you have the right? You're the one who made this mess."
"You're blaming me?" The man sneered. "You're really too much, talking to me like that. Fine, I'll give you some room to choose. First, I kill both of them. Second, one of them must get hurt, and the unhurt one can come here and take you away."
