Chapter 1070 Used the Wrong Way
Bishop said, "He loves you too, but both William and Alexander used the wrong way."
"Since it's the wrong way, they shouldn't do it. I don't need them to love me like this. I hate being lied to the most. Although I should be happy that Alexander doesn't have cancer, he lied to me. Since then, how can I trust him and forgive him? He's exploiting my trust in him."
Ava was very upset about this.
"I came specifically to see you."
Ava looked at him puzzled. "Why did you suddenly bring this up?"
Seeing her puzzled expression, Bishop explained, "You don't like being lied to, so I tell you the truth. I'm not here for a vacation but to see you."
Seeing Bishop's cautious look, Ava couldn't help but laugh.
"Thank you for not lying to me."
For such small matters, it wouldn't matter if he lied to her, as long as it's not about significant issues, like having another woman outside or having cancer.
Seeing her smile, Bishop relaxed a lot.
Later, the hotel clerk brought the food, and they sat together, chatting and laughing while having dinner.
They just talked about trivial matters, sharing their experiences and observations with each other.
Happy times were always short, and it was getting late. Ava saw Bishop to the door.
"Bishop, where are you staying now?"
"I booked a hotel. I'm heading there now."
"Be careful on your way."
Bishop responded, "You should go to bed early too."
After Bishop left, Ava closed the door, went back to her room, and sat by the bed.
Sunny was still sound asleep. She gently stroked Sunny's little face and then kissed his forehead.
After some time, William was discharged from the hospital.
However, Ava didn't visit him during his hospital stay. They only contacted each other by phone without talking much. Ava would say she was busy and hang up the phone.
Dalton had been extremely busy during this time because the company's accounts were being audited.
A big company's accounts couldn't withstand scrutiny.
Dalton made a lot of calls. His connections and background seemed useless this time. It seemed like there was a higher-level order.
Dalton didn't know who he had offended. He stayed up many nights dealing with this issue and didn't have time to contact Mia. He was out every day, dealing with different people, spending a lot of time and effort handling this matter.
After going around in circles, he finally came to Brandon's office.
The secretary asked Dalton to wait since Brandon was still in a meeting.
Although Dalton was displeased, he could only sit in the waiting area.
After waiting for more than an hour, the secretary finally came over and said, "You can go in now."
Dalton glared at her, then stood up, straightened his suit, and walked into Brandon's office.
Dalton didn't see anyone leave Brandon's office, and he saw only Brandon inside.
"You weren't meeting anyone; you just made me wait."
Brandon slowly closed the file in his hand, looked up, and gave him a calm smile. "That's right. I just made you wait. If you think an hour is too short, you can go out and wait a few more hours."
