Noon.
Ava treated the author to lunch.
Originally, the author was supposed to treat Ava, but in the end, Ava insisted on paying to show her gratitude, and the author couldn't refuse.
During the meal, Bishop and Sunny were also present.
Bishop was tall and handsome, and the author's eyes lit up. "Hey, handsome, you look like the male lead in my book."

Sunny sat in the car seat, and Ava sat in the passenger seat.
There seemed to be an inexplicable awkwardness between her and Bishop.

But they didn't dislike those words.
Bishop noticed it too and smiled faintly, saying, "Don't take her words to heart; she was just speaking off the cuff."
Ava nodded, smiled, and responded softly.
Suddenly, Ava's gaze fell on a figure by the roadside, and she immediately said to Bishop, "Please stop the car."
Seeing Ava's urgency, Bishop immediately pulled over.
"What's wrong?"
"I saw someone. I'll get out for a moment. Can you watch Sunny for me?"
With that, Ava opened the car door and got out.
Bishop saw Ava running towards a middle-aged woman. The woman looked frightened and turned to run.
Ava ran faster and grabbed her, "What are you doing here?"
Evelyn tried to break free, but Ava held on tightly.
"Evelyn, stand still!"
The last time Ava saw Evelyn was a long time ago. Evelyn was injured, and Ava took her to the hospital, solely to find out about her parents.
She had a DNA test done and found out she wasn't her parents' biological child.
But after the test results came out, many things happened, and the matter was forgotten.
Later, Evelyn ran away, and Ava didn't expect to see her here.
"Ava, I'm so sorry about before. I'll kneel and beg for your forgiveness. Please let me go."
"I'm not my parents' biological child," Ava said. "What do you know about my biological parents? Tell me!"
"Your biological parents," Evelyn swallowed, "I can tell you, but you have to give me some money."
Evelyn was living a miserable life now, her clothes were tattered, and she hadn't kicked her gambling habit, constantly chased by creditors.
Ava angrily let go of her hand, "Evelyn, you know gambling will ruin your life, yet you still do it. Even if I give you money, you'll just gamble it away."
"Do you want to know about your biological parents or not?"
Ava clenched her fists.
Bishop observed from the car.
Not far away, Ava was talking to Evelyn, who seemed very afraid of Ava.
After a while, Ava brought Evelyn over, opened the car door, and shoved her into the back seat. Then Ava sat in the driver's seat.
Bishop stopped at a nearby restaurant.
Bishop didn't say much. They had already eaten lunch, so Ava probably wanted to take Evelyn to eat.
Bishop didn't ask anything, and Ava voluntarily told him, "She's my aunt."
"Oh, I see." Bishop glanced at the rearview mirror and politely said, "Hello."
Evelyn nodded and forced a smile.
Bishop could tell that Ava and Evelyn didn't have a good relationship, and something must have happened between them, but he didn't ask further.
